I gravitate toward modern, clean designs with pops of color to draw the viewers' attention and admit that I often spend way too much time selecting the perfect font. There is a time and place for slides filled with Comic Sans and that is never and nowhere. Don't even get me started on Papyrus...
I love presentations that feature the right amount of white space and can draw in the audience from the very first slide. I believe that text-heavy presentations can always be made more visually engaging through the use of infographic elements and a content-focused mindset.
