For decades, moving-line automation was out of reach. With Inbolt's AI and 3D Vision, robots can adapt and automate tasks like pick & place without slowing production. At a Stellantis' plant in France, filter insertion needed to be automated in a high-demand, high-variation environment: ► 80+ mold references ► They wanted to avoid costly mechanical changes to the line ► ROI was required in under 12 months ❌ Traditional automation couldn’t deliver without major downtime or re-engineering. That’s where Inbolt and Universal Robots made the difference. ☑️ AI & 3D Vision gave real-time guidance to the cobot ☑️ Filters inserted on the fly, with zero line stops ☑️ Seamless plug-in, no changes to the existing line This resulted in: ⭐ Lower automation costs, no line changes needed ⭐ New mold setup in <20 minutes ⭐ Reliable performance, even in harsh conditions ⭐ Cobots and operators working safely, side by side 💡 Where do you see the biggest opportunity for AI to unlock true flexibility in manufacturing? #AI #3DVision #SmartAutomation #Inbolt #Robotics #Cobots #FactoryAutomation #IndustrialAI #Stellantis #UniversalRobots

AI-powered vision-guidance for robots in unstructured, dynamic manufacturing environments
À propos
Inbolt is on a mission to make vision-guided robotics the norm, not the exception, on the shop floor. Automation is no longer optional in manufacturing, but traditional solutions are costly due to the need for rigid infrastructure like jigs, indexing systems, and stop-and-go lines. Inbolt is changing that. Their AI-powered robotic guidance enables flexible, smart automation in unstructured and dynamic environments. The generalist AI requires no custom tuning, adapts to any application, and delivers real-time, vision-based robot guidance. They’re trusted by leaders like Stellantis, Renault, Toyota and Ford with deployments in over 50 factories across Europe, the U.S., and Japan. In particular, their real-time guidance capability enables automation on continuously moving assembly lines, the final frontier of factory automation. Backed by $20M from SOSV, Exor, and MIG, Inbolt is setting a new standard for robotics in manufacturing.

🦾⚙ 2.7 tons saved in daily handling of equipment weight by eliminating variability in robot positioning. ROI in 12 months. At the Stellantis Valenciennes plant, part positioning challenges and heat-induced pallet variation were affecting automation. A major challenge was that the cobots were mounted on mobile carts for added flexibility. While this mobility allowed the robots to adapt to changing production constraints, it also introduced slight variations in positioning every time they were relocated, complicating the automation process. That’s where Inbolt’s vision-guided system came in. Our solution compensates for these variations, ensuring precise, reliable operation across the entire production line, no matter where the robots are moved. By eliminating custom fixtures and reducing integration complexity, we saved 2.7 tons in daily fixture weight being handled manually by operators and boosted production line efficiency. 🎥 Check out the results in the video below ⬇️ 🔗 Discover more by reading the case study: https://lnkd.in/epDuFQs5 #Automation #Robotics #VisionGuidedAutomation #Industry40 #Inbolt #SmartManufacturing #Stellantis

🛠️ We heard Jim Farley, CEO of Ford Motor Company speak at the Reindustrialize 2.0 Summit: “We have a lot of opportunities in the brownfield space to really innovate. It requires a totally different approach to engineering… A lot of this we just don’t know, but that’s what progress sounds like.” That message resonates deeply with us at Inbolt. 🇺🇸 At this pivotal moment for American manufacturing, reshoring alone won’t be enough. Innovation has to happen inside the plants that already exist, with the teams that are already on the ground. That means rethinking what’s possible, especially in environments that weren’t built for flexible automation. At the summit we demonstrated our Dynamic Vision Guidance in action, enabling a robot to tighten screws on a moving engine. What we’re building is designed to support both brownfield and greenfield environments, making automation more adaptable, scalable, and lower-risk, even in the most complex and dynamic factory settings. Because like Jim Farley said: “We have to challenge ourselves even in our existing plants with a completely new approach.” 💬 We’d love to hear from others navigating this transformation. What changes are you seeing — or pushing for — in your factories? Shout out to the other brands sponsoring that we spent time with: Boston Dynamics, GE Aerospace, Google, Hadrian, LAND Energy, Applied Intuition, Archer and more. #Manufacturing #Automation #BrownfieldInnovation #Engineering #Inbolt #DynamicVision #Reindustrialize #SmartFactories #AI #Robotics #Detroit
