    MANE has participated in the NITRATES project MANE, together with Argal Alimentación and the University of Lleida, will study the effect of eliminating nitrifying salts on the microbiological quality of cured meat products. This will be carried out through the “Public-Private Collaboration Projects” programme, under the project titled: “Study of the effect of eliminating the content of nitrifying salts on the microbiological quality of cured meat products (NITRATES)”. The “Public-Private Collaboration Projects” programme is a funding initiative aimed at promoting research and stimulating public-private cooperation in R&D&I. This project, NITRATES, aims to develop a new solution produced by MANE to obtain a nitrite/nitrate-free fuet that retains the desired organoleptic characteristics and remains microbiologically stable. In addition, pulsed electric fields and ultrasound treatments will be tested to improve the quality of the final product. The “Public-Private Collaboration Projects” programme is part of the “Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan” and is implemented through the State Research Agency, an entity under the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. #MANEflavours #MANEinnovations #nitrates

    When perfumery meets opera: MANE scents the iconic Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona In partnership with IED Design, MANE had the privilege of perfuming the opera Ikária during Òh!Pera, an event held from 25 to 27 July. This unique collaboration emerged through IED Barcelona’s participation in Òh!Pera, an innovative performance initiative whereby artists from various disciplines come together to give traditional opera a more modern interpretation. Ikária unfolds on a sun-baked Greek island and probes themes such as the idealisation of paradise, the clash between tradition and mass tourism, the climate crisis, and the absurdities of modern life. The fragrance Oh-Pera Acto II by Jérôme di Marino evokes a burnt forest: lingering smoke, resin oozing from scorched bark, and a faint trace of green peeking out from under the soot. It is a sensory reflection of devastation, silence, memory and renewal. This project exemplifies our dedication to harnessing the emotional power of fragrance in unexpected artistic contexts. Through the scent diffusion system provided by BRANDED SMELL, the audience was immersed in a truly unique multi‑sensory experience.     The Jiangnan University - Grasse Institute of Perfumery Joint Laboratory in Jiangsu, China has officially launched new programs co-developed with MANE in perfume artistry, fragrance evaluation, and perfume culture. Founded in 1871 in Grasse, MANE is currently the leader in France and in the top five worldwide in the fragrance and flavour industry Named as the sole strategic partner for raw materials for the institute’s Chinese campus, MANE draws on over 150 years of experience and know-how to inspire and equip the next generation of Chinese perfumers. Our partnership aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, offering emerging talents both time-honoured techniques and access to cutting-edge innovations. On 11 July, students from the Chinese campus experienced this intention firsthand during a visit to MANE Shanghai.
