Gibraltar Gambling Act - The Importance of Substance for Marketing: Evidencing sufficient substance is a licensing requirement for marketing companies under the proposed new Gambling Act 2025, however meeting this requirement has wider benefits for multi-national gambling groups. A compliant structure should help to provide you with much more defensible cross-border operational structures. Read more here and get in touch if you would like support with obtaining a licence, reviewing your operations and seeking a legal opinion confirming that you meet the sufficient substance requirement: https://lnkd.in/euQcqdiF

On Thursday 26 June 2025, the Gibraltar Gambling Bill 2025 was formally published in the Gibraltar Gazette, making it available for discussion and consideration before Gibraltar’s Parliament. This key procedural step marks the beginning of the legislative journey for a bill that, if it successfully passes through all parliamentary stages and is subsequently enacted into law, will introduce profound changes, fundamentally departing from the Gambling Act 2005. This proposed legislation aims to transform Gibraltar's regulatory approach from a primarily licensing-focused model to a comprehensive, risk-based, and highly supervised framework, reflecting our jurisdiction's commitment to modernising its regulatory landscape for the evolving global gambling industry. For a detailed breakdown of these changes, please view our article located here: https://lnkd.in/dD_F2RAJ and contact Ramparts’ Betting & Gaming Team if you would like to discuss or have any queries: https://lnkd.in/gsbNNAVh #Gibraltar #GamblingRegulation #GamingIndustry Peter Howitt Andrew Tait Nicholas Borge Danielle Erica Curtis BL Tyrene Edwards

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for drinks prior to the KPMG Gibraltar eSummit! This year was particularly special with the announcement of the historic Gibraltar-Spain deal. The eGaming sector's crucial role in Gibraltar's economy was a key theme, amplified by discussions on cutting-edge topics like Crypto & Gaming. This session featured prominent figures such as Paul Leyland, Andrew Lyman, William Gracia, Chris Elliott, Andreas Glarner, Anthony Provasoli, and Ramparts' Managing Director, Peter Howitt. Andrew Tait, Ramparts' Head of Betting and Gambling, participated in a Fireside Chat on Crypto, alongside Philip Vasquez from damex.io and moderated by Anthony Provasoli from Hassans. The conference also shone a light on the dynamic Latam Landscape and the complexities of navigating Gibraltar’s new regulatory environment, including its impact on marketing companies. This was yet another flawlessly organised event by KPMG, effectively addressing the core issues of our industry. We are already looking forward to next year! #Gibraltar #eGaming #KPMG #IndustryTrends #Crypto #Ramparts

Yesterday, our legal team at Ramparts was proud to participate in Gibraltar's inaugural Legal Walk, a terrific event organised by The Law Council of Gibraltar. We joined colleagues from across Gibraltar's legal profession to walk together in support of the GBC Open Day Fund and its vital work with local charities. The keynote addresses from Minister for Justice the Hon. Nigel Feetham KC MP, Chief Justice Anthony Dudley, and Jayne Wink of Men in Need Gibraltar were inspiring, each underscoring the importance of cultivating a supportive and cooperative legal community. A big thank you to the Law Council's Chairperson Emma Azopardi Lejeune, and Board Members involved in the event's planning: Paul Grant, Michael Adamberry, David Montegriffo, and Seth Galia, and to everyone else who took part in making this inaugural event such a success! Here are some snapshots from the Walk, featuring our participating Ramparts team members: Heather Adamson, Nicholas Borge, David Borge, Danielle Erica Curtis BL, Joanne Camporese, and Tamsin Suarez. Also featured are members of the Law Council's Board, including our Nicholas Borge, alongside the Minister for Justice, Nigel Feetham KC MP.
