✈️ Summer is in full swing and the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency has lifted its travel advisory for Israel! This demonstrates a renewed confidence in the region’s stability and has triggered a wave of positive announcements from major European airlines, such as Austrian Airlines, who resumed its operations to Tel Aviv from Vienna on August 1st. But where are Austrians heading? Nearly 80% of Austrians aged 15+ packed their bags and went on at least one holiday in 2024. Over half of these trips (52.7%) led Austrians abroad. 🌐 Microsoft opens three new data centres in Austria, boosting the country's digital strength Starting in August 2025, the new "Cloud Region" will give businesses and public institutions access to modern #cloud and #AI technologies, with the option to store #data securely in Austria, following local privacy rules. The three data centres are already up and running, but for now only being used by selected test customers. Microsoft is investing €1 bn into this project. This means that approx. every Israeli who consumes alcohol drinks one glass of Austrian wine per year. Family-run estates dominate the Austrian #viticulture scene, which is why the industry’s focus is not on mass production. Still, 607,400 bottles of wine were exported to Israel in 2024.
