The State has witnessed a surge in industrial activity with leading companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, LG Electronics, Daikin Airconditioning India Pvt. Ltd., Premier Energies, and Wingtech setting up projects worth over Rs 22,188 crore, creating 47,000+ jobs. To drive the Swarna Andhra vision, the Government has rolled out progressive policies (2024–29) for IT & Global Capability Centres, Electronics Manufacturing, Semiconductors & Display Fabs, Data Centres, and Startups—offering capital subsidies, incentives, and world-class infrastructure. Global players Sattva and ANSR have also announced Rs 1,500 crore investments, generating 35,000 additional jobs. With exports nearing Rs 80,000 crore and production of 3.5 million mobile phones and 3 million televisions annually, Andhra Pradesh is scaling new heights. Andhra Pradesh Showcases Leadership in Food Processing The 3rd Edition of the India Food Manufacturing Summit was held at Novotel, Visakhapatnam, under the theme “Envisioning a Sustainable Future for India’s F&B Industry.” Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, addressed the gathering as Chief Guest, while Shri T.G. Bharat, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Commerce and Food Processing, also graced the occasion. In his keynote address at the conference organised by the Trade Promotion Council of India, the Chief Minister highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s strong food processing ecosystem, with nine integrated food parks, 17 lakh metric tonnes of cold storage capacity, and 33 lakh tonnes of godowns, while stressing the importance of value addition to enhance the global competitiveness of food products. Big push for healthcare and Medtech innovation in Andhra Pradesh! Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu convened with global Biodesign leaders, including representatives from Stanford, APAC Biodesign, Biodesign Australia, Tokyo, Taiwan, Singapore, and Mirai Medical, to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s vision of becoming the Biodesign Capital of India. An MoU was signed between the University of Western Australia and the AI & MedTech Alliance Foundation to foster collaboration in research, training, technology transfer, and startup incubation. Andhra Pradesh is taking concrete steps to strengthen its role as India’s Eastern gateway for maritime commerce and logistics. As part of this vision, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, through the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board (APMB), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with APM Terminals to accelerate the development of world-class port infrastructure. Under the MoU, APM Terminals intends to invest around US $1 billion (₹80–90 billion) to support the establishment and modernisation of ports and terminals. This investment is expected to create 8,000-10,000 jobs and drive wider industrial and logistics growth across the state. The collaboration will focus on developing sustainable, ESG-compliant facilities equipped with low-emission technologies and energy-efficient cargo handling systems. This will ensure long-term value for trade, industry and coastal communities.
