While there are major challenges such as high land / construction costs leading to affordability gap; lack of skilled caregivers and managers and absence of a unified national regulatory framework, it’s heartening to see few state governments like Haryana and Maharashtra that have already introduced policies around senior living as an independent building segment with a key focus to make it an attractive and affordable proposition for senior citizens.
