𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗨𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼-𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻 𝗘𝘀𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗿𝗴 A new urban garden has been unveiled in Esbjerg, Denmark—marking the first #UrbanMinded intervention. Designed as a cosy gathering place under an oak tree, the project was co-created over seven months with a multidisciplinary team and more than 50 local teenage girls. The initiative highlights the importance of centering lived experiences often overlooked in city-making. By engaging young voices, the project explored what inclusion truly means, what our cities lack, and how empathetic, community-driven design can shape more meaningful urban spaces. A heartfelt thanks goes to the students of Danmarksgade Skole and Rørkjær Skole, along with the dedicated collaborators and partners who made this project possible. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻: 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 The exhibition Carbon Confessions (Confessions Carbone) by MVRDV has arrived in Paris and is now on view at Atelier Néerlandais until September 27. This unique showcase offers an inside look at the firm’s sustainable design journey—highlighting achievements, challenges, and key lessons. At its heart is a 21-chapter narrative displayed on hanging paper banners, immersing visitors in stories of carbon reduction. The exhibition features 36 hanging booklets: 24 anecdotes about low-carbon projects and 12 “carbon cases” with detailed calculations using the soon-to-launch CarbonSpace software. Models, material samples from circular projects, and newly developed low-carbon materials are also presented, alongside digital tools and transformation projects. Work from The Why Factory further emphasizes the role of “everyday activism” and the sustainable power of transformation over new construction. On display until September 27 at Atelier Néerlandais, Paris.
