Chi siamo

  • ✨ MEET OUR 2025 DESIGNERS ✨ VDW LIGHT SELECTION From Riga, Latvia, Ieva Kalēja and her family-run studio Mammalampa create sculptural lighting defined by raw materials, bold textures, and a deeply human touch. Each piece is handcrafted slowly and with intention, letting imperfections become character, and allowing materials to remain honest and alive. At Venice Design Week, Mammalampa presents “The Bride” Floor Lamp, a luminous sculpture inspired by the delicate flow of a bridal gown. Made of hand-braided paper with brass and steel elements, it seems to defy gravity: its cloak breathes, glows, and casts a weightless, ethereal light. Created entirely by hand in Riga, The Bride embodies Mammalampa’s vision: design that is raw, expressive, and deeply personal. Photo credits: Mammalampa, Roberts Aboltins, Iveta Gabalina

  • ✨ MEET OUR 2025 DESIGNERS ✨ INTERIOR DESIGN SELECTION What happens when Italian marble meets wine barrels? #UbriAAco - the world's first barrique-aged radiator 🍷 Each panel is crafted from reclaimed Veronese marble and aged with local wine pomace, filling your home with notes of fresh grape and warm bread. Behind this innovation is Maarmo_think recycled - since 2016, they've been turning waste into wonder. Their mission? #Eco-friendly design that doesn't compromise on beauty or performance. Every radiator uses low-energy processes and reclaimed materials. When its life ends, it goes back into production - true circular economy.

  • ✨ MEET OUR 2025 DESIGNERS ✨ #FURNISHINGACCESSORIES SELECTION Tokyo-based designer Kazuki Nagasawa is the founder of SUPER RAT, a studio exploring the dialogue between #tradition, #nature, and #contemporaryliving. Born in #Osaka in 1995, Kazuki trained at the Kuwasawa Design School and worked with leading Japanese studios before establishing his own practice in 2024. In 2025, his vision was recognized with First Prize at the #SaloneSatelliteAward. At #VeniceDesignWeek, Kazuki presents the JUHI Series, a collection that revives the use of Trachycarpus fortunei bark, a material cherished in #Japan since before the Edo period. Through hand-dyeing with persimmon tannin and iron mordant, the bark transforms into #vessels, #dividers, and #lighting pieces that are light yet strong, tactile yet translucent. By weaving together tradition, craft, and environmental consciousness, Kazuki Nagasawa envisions #design as cultural continuity, objects rooted in Japan’s #heritage yet resonant with today’s world.

  • ✨ MEET OUR 2025 DESIGNERS ✨ VDW LIGHT SELECTION Hailing from #Vienna, Leni Sofie Piëch of Studio SPHAER transforms #design into #storytelling. Trained at Central Saint Martins in #London, Leni’s work bridges imagination, cultural heritage, and radical collaboration. At the heart of Studio SPHAER is a philosophy she calls #worlding, an approach that redefines how people, objects, and spaces interact, creating designs that are as #meaningful as they are #functional. At Venice Design Week, she presents “Theia Limited 10”, a pendant #light combining bell-shaped glass, matte #ceramic shapes, and adjustable gold-silver suspension, and “Lenelle”, a sculptural seating piece in brushed steel and textured fabric, designed with Ellen Nyqvist. Leni’s work invites #reflection, #connection, and #intentionalliving.

  • ⭐️ JEWELRY SELECTED ⭐️ Art is the result of a #vortex of #emotions. In the tumultuous years at the edge of the Great War, Umberto Boccioni captured this idea, one that would inspire #Vorticism, a short-lived yet powerful movement that shaped the visions of Ezra Pound, Wyndham Lewis, and Helen Saunders. For Pound, “the vortex is the point of maximum energy” a force that cuts through space and gives it form. This is the inspiration behind the #VeniceDesignWeek #JewelrySelection2025, 12th edition. With the theme #VORTICE, 17 international #designers have been selected to explore this cyclone of #energy, personal and professional, transforming it into #jewelry that bends materials, #techniques, and ideas into new forms. Against the backdrop of #TEMPORA2025, their creations embody the #vortex as both chaos and clarity, movement and form, history and innovation. This October in #Venice, discover how each designer captures the swirling energy of the vortex through contemporary jewelry.

  • ✨ MEET OUR 2025 DESIGNERS ✨ VDW LIGHT SELECTION We’re happy to introduce Aleksandra Mytnik and Katarzyna Serafin, a dynamic design duo from Kraków, graduates and current master’s students at the Faculty of Art and Design at KEN University. Aleksandra also studied in Barcelona, enriching their international outlook. Their design philosophy centers on #openness, #flexibility, and building meaningful connections between #objects and #users. Their standout project, #LumoLamp, is a modular lighting system made of folded steel and semi-transparent plexiglass. Thanks to hidden magnets, users can reconfigure the lamp’s shape and light endlessly, making it both functional and playful. Their work has been showcased at Łódź Design Festival and Cracow Art Week, reflecting their fresh, innovative approach to #design.
