We are proud to have been recognized by the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) with the Ameristar Award in the "Drug and Pharmaceutical" category for one of our rare disease drug packaging solutions. The jury appreciated the packaging's clarity and ease of fast handling, especially when time is critical. Designed with insights from patients and HCPs, the packaging features a built-in instruction panel, an intuitive layout, and one-handed opening. It simplifies preparation and supports confident administration under pressure. By utilizing recyclable, mono-material paperboard and reducing materials without compromising strength, we achieve both durability and support for environmental sustainability.

Every rare disease diagnosis is unique; each leaves a different mark on patients and their families, with many experiencing a prolonged and frustrating journey. The average time to receive an accurate diagnosis of a #RareDisease can take approximately 5 years, and for some, it can be longer. We are actively working with the rare disease community to help shorten the diagnostic journey and reduce barriers to equitable care for all individuals living with rare diseases, especially those living in underserved and marginalized communities who may experience an even more complicated and long journey to diagnosis. Through our innovative efforts and sustainable relationships with these communities, we are helping to standardize the diagnosis journey and care for patients with rare diseases. Through Center Forward's 2025 Healthcare Innovation Conference, we had the honor of welcoming a group of bipartisan Congressional health staffers for a special visit to our Los Angeles plasma manufacturing site. During their visit, they had the chance to learn about plasma-derived therapies from site head Babak Haghiri and tour our advanced labs and manufacturing operations. This offered them a behind-the-scenes look at the science driving life-transforming plasma derived therapies. We ended the day by reflecting on how this experience deepens the connection between our work and the patients we serve. Together, we learned more about the contributions of California Life Sciences (CLS) industry and discussed ways to foster innovation to address critical needs for people living with rare, chronic, and genetic diseases.
