🚍Connected & autonomous mobility in action We are proud to have contributed to the successful launch of the connected and autonomous shuttles by Ohmio operated by CFL - Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois. This milestone has been officially celebrated today in the presence of Yuriko Backes and Lex Delles, marking another step toward the future of sustainable and intelligent mobility in Luxembourg. Our teams have been involved through projects such as COMBO, supported by Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR), where we anticipated possible uses of these shuttles while considering key features offered by #5G connectivity and advanced optimisation systems. That’s the ambition of the BRANCH project, led by New Dawn Bio 🌳 in collaboration with LIST: developing the world’s first prototype of cultured wood, grown from tree plant cells in bioreactors. With his leadership, we look forward to strengthening LIST’s role: turning scientific knowledge into technologies, smart data, and tools that empower citizens, public authorities, and businesses to make better decisions and shape a more sustainable future. Olivier joins us from Forschungszentrum Jülich, where he directed the Institute of Energy Materials and Devices, and from his professorship at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. He brings with him not only impressive scientific and industrial expertise, but also a passion for driving innovation with real-world impact.
