Who owns the pallet? Under the PPWR, the answer has real consequences. In a closed-loop system like IPP’s, ownership doesn’t change hands, and that changes everything. By retaining legal title, we stay responsible for every pallet we put into the market. That means maintenance, return, recovery and full alignment with the new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. But here’s the key: legal title also means users have obligations too. 📦 Article 27.4 of the PPWR now requires businesses using reusable packaging to return it to an approved collection point. ♻️ Recycle is good. Reuse is better. The EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) makes one thing clear: reuse delivers more impact than recycling. At IPP, our reusable pallets are already aligned with that future. Why move away from single-use? ✔ Over its lifespan, a single IPP pallet replaces 20–50 disposable ones.  ✔ Saves up to 200 kg of timber.  ✔ Cuts emissions by up to 60%.  ✔ Keeps waste out of landfills and systems in motion.  ✔ Fully aligned with PPWR reuse criteria. Single-use pallets are often discarded after one trip. Even when recycled, they require transport and energy.
