A new chapter for mobility in Portugal! 🚆⚡ Last Friday marked the launch of the preliminary operation of the Metrobus of Mondego, in Coimbra, on the urban section between Vale das Flores and Portagem. This milestone is part of a broader project, that will deliver a modern, sustainable and efficient BRT – Bus Rapid Transit system in the region, improving connectivity across Coimbra, Miranda do Corvo and Lousã. On June 25,  the paper "Experience feedback from the development of interoperable IEDs for R#SPACE", promoted by the French Transmission System Operator RTE and co-authored by Efacec, was presented at the PAC World Global Conference 2025, in Glasgow.   Efacec was proudly represented by João Peres, Head of R&D for the Automation area, in a paper that highlighted the benefits of the paradigm shift brought by the intelligent digital substation developed within the R#SPACE project.
