As a finale to our Growth for Good week, a learning week on sustainability and career growth, we hosted the TEE-Up Talent Festival 2025 bringing our community together with small medium enterprises (SMEs) and talents from Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) to celebrate the milestones achieved with partners.
Organised in support of SkillsFuture SG Festival 2025, we kicked off with an opening speech by our Chief Distribution Officer Ben Tan, who was heartened to see students solve real-world problems. This was followed by a keynote address by Designing Your Life Institute (DYLI) where Bill Burnett, Co-Founder & Managing Director, and Mark Wee, Co-Founder & Executive Director, shared about fostering the mindsets to help youths succeed. After, we hosted a panel discussion with Bill Burnett, Johnson Poh, Assistant Chief Executive, Sectoral Transformation Group, IMDA and Wendy Yeo, Head, Employee Value Proposition & Talent Acquisition, Prudential Singapore. They discussed the importance of honing skillsets, the need for a skills vault and the range of incentives available through the SMEs Go Digital Programme.
We also celebrated the conclusion of the 3 SME projects:
🚀 GenAI XPonential: A programme in partnership with IMDA and Republic Polytechnic to accelerate the adoption of GenAI among SMEs. A series of explainer videos on GenAI topics were developed and hosted on CTO-as-a-Service, a one-stop platform to help SMEs grow their business through digital, in addition to hands-on GenAI workshops co-organised by Prudential and RP.
🚀 SmartBiz Automation Project: Institute of Technical Education (ITE) students helped Qiqing Qipao, a local brand that creates modern cheongsam, to automate inventory management, customer database and invoicing using a customised Google App Script.
🚀Digital DynamITE: ITE students helped Select Group from the F&B industry in data collection, analysis, interviews and video production to help the public understand their multi-brand operations and attract young talents to join them.
A huge appreciation to Vanessa Puah (British Hainan Heritage Restaurant), Venus Sieng 👩🏫 (Dandelion Consulting), Josephine Ho (Qiqing Qipao) and Alicia C. (Select Group) for their participation and guidance in the above SME projects. We are also thankful to National Youth Council Singapore for their support in helping youths gain exposure to real-world problems and become future-ready.
