I was wondering how close this game would feel to its predecessors, and I was not dissapointed. It's different, but it's also familiar enough. Its combat is brutal, its characters speak in cryptic nonsense (although to a lesser extent), its OST inspires great emotions and its world is as hopelessly melancholic as ever. It's like I played my first fromsoft game all over again, where I gradually realised that yes, i do in fact want to experience this hardship, it feels satisfying to overcome it.
