Shrimp farming is a vital source of food and income in Thailand — and it is now becoming part of the climate solution. Thai Union’s shrimp decarbonization initiative is demonstrating how practical, science-based solutions can reduce emissions, improve efficiency, and strengthen livelihoods. Scaling these solutions will require collaboration across finance, government, and farming communities to unlock the resources and know-how needed for lasting change. With most shrimp farms in Thailand able to adopt these practices, the shift has the potential to transform the industry’s environmental footprint and advance global climate goals, including Thai Union’s ambition to achieve net zero by 2050. What does it take to transform the future of seafood? At #GCNTExpo2025, Thai Union brought that question to the forefront. Adam Brennan, our Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer, spoke on the urgent need for innovation in global food systems and ocean health, sharing how our SeaChange® 2030 global sustainability strategy is delivering measurable impact. From 97% on-the-water monitoring in our tuna supply chain to Thailand’s first shrimp decarbonization initiative, we’re combining traceability and emissions tracking to set new standards for responsible aquaculture. Building on this momentum, Thai Union held a cross-sector dialogue together with voices from government, finance, and farming communities to drive forward the sustainability transition in aquaculture. The message was clear: unlocking sustainability at scale requires more than good intentions. It demands investment, collaboration, and a willingness to rethink the way we produce food from the ocean. This commitment is deeply rooted in our purpose—Healthy Living, Healthy Oceans. Because when we protect ocean ecosystems and invest in sustainable food systems, we’re also supporting healthier communities and building resilience for the future. Happy #WorldOceansDay! At Thai Union, this day is a powerful reminder of our fundamental purpose: Healthy Living, Healthy Oceans. 🌊 We put that purpose into practice by getting our hands (and feet) dirty. Over the past week, over 700 employees and partners have collected waste on coastlines in 11 countries across 4 continents – from Thailand to Ghana, and from the U.S. to Europe. Seeing the challenge of plastic pollution up close reinforces why our commitments must be ambitious and woven into our core business strategy. With our clean-ups we give back to the communities we operate in; our SeaChange® 2030 strategy is how we take action on a global scale. Our commitments include: 🔹 Preventing 1,500 tons of plastic from entering our oceans and waterways by 2030. 🔹 Achieving 100% sustainable packaging for our own branded products by 2025. 🔹 Reducing abandoned "ghost gear" through our global partnership with the Global Ghost Gear Initiative. Our global teams collected around 17 tons of, plastic, waste and marine debris – along with some mud, blisters, and sore arms. 😄 And we look forward to doing it again next year! Protecting our oceans is essential to who we are. On World Oceans Day and every day, we are dedicated to being a force for good in the seafood industry. #ThaiUnion #SeaChange2030 #WorldOceansDay #OceanHealth #Sustainability #HealthyLivingHealthyOceans

Thai Union Group was honored to receive our Top 1% certificate at today’s S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook Distinction Ceremony in Bangkok. The award confirms our place among the world’s leading food products companies, after scoring 85/100 in the 2024 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). That result put us in the Yearbook alongside just 26 peers in our sector (out of 213 assessed) and 780 companies globally (from 7,690). Our Chief Sustainability & Communications Officer Adam Brennan joined a panel moderated by Robert Dornau of S&P Global Sustainable1, with Thomas Yagel (S&P Global Sustainable1), Harsha Reddy (Indorama Ventures) and Natthapatt Tanboon-ek (WHA Corporation Public Company Limited) to discuss how the CSA drives continuous improvement and investor confidence. 👏 Congratulations to all Thai companies awarded Top 1%, 5% and 10% distinctions at today’s ceremony. Together we’re showing how transparent, science-based action delivers real value for people, planet and profit. #Sustainability #ThaiUnion #SeaChange2030
