I really enjoyed today’s BAM Doctoral Fridays session 🎓✨——It made me reflect on what conferences really mean for us as researchers. Three points stood out for me about why we go to conferences: 💡 To test and refine our arguments with real feedback. 🌍 To situate our research within broader conversations. 🤝 To connect with people who share our interests (sometimes even across different fields). Another reminder that stayed with me: conferences can feel intimidating — especially if you’re new, if you don’t see many people like yourself, or if only a few show up to your talk. But showing up matters. Representation matters. And even a small audience can give feedback that makes your work much stronger. Honestly, hearing this made me instantly feel more relaxed 😅 — such a reassuring perspective! I’m grateful to Professor Adina Dudau and British Academy of Management for creating such a supportive space. And I’m looking forward to more chances to find my “academic tribe,” grow as a researcher, and share the journey with others. 🤩 🐾 #BAM #DoctoralSymposium #Research #Presentations #PhD
