It’s pushing 30º in London this week so James McLeod decided it was the perfect time to put Sarah Wiltshire’s famous Iced Latte recipe to the test. Thanks WeWork for keeping us stocked with the essentials!

About us
Media Forty Two is a specialist B2B consultancy and media buyer. We believe that paid media can't happen in a silo and as such we have teams specialising in creative, CRM and ops, events and owned media. Our company growth has been meteoric and we work with some of the biggest names in B2B today: Amazon, IBM, Caterpillar and Schneider Electric to name a few. Because we're privately owned we don't need to constantly focus on margins and cost cutting. We focus on results and our testimonials speak for themselves.

People say that social media managers are too self congratulatory but we think that's utter nonsense. In unrelated news today we reached 1812 followers on LinkedIn. Here's some Tschaikovsky with fireworks and cannons to celebrate. https://lnkd.in/gVG7s2xU

We had our quarterly company catch-up last Tuesday — and yes, it just so happened to be during a heatwave. Naturally, we decided the best solution was a trip to the park, a few pints, and some very competitive games. There may have been a bit of strategic chat mixed in too… but mostly, it was about taking a well-earned break to celebrate the brilliant work the team’s been doing over the past few months.

Last week we hosted our very first in-person event ✨ 4 Hours. 3 Speakers. 3 Workshops. And lots of interesting discussions about Life, the Universe and B2B Attribution. A massive thank you to our wonderful speakers James Bradbury, Robyn Hartley and our Digital Director Jim Orme for leading such engaging sessions. And to everyone that was able to join us, you made it what it was 🙌 So long and thank you for all the fish!

We're running an event. In person. Honestly we're quite excited about it. There's food, drinks, posters - we've even done some funky graphics. Anyway if you're a brand marketer interested in learning more about: - Employee social advocacy as the new PR with Robyn Hartley - B2B attribution and why the answer is much more complex than 42 with James Bradbury - How CRO can impact both your SEM and SEO efforts with Alain Mac - Why Andor is the best Star Wars without question (assuming you get stuck sitting near Phil Cooper) This one is for you *We have 60 seats so we're being a little selective. This is a practical session and will not just be focussing on concepts - we will be going into tooling and platforms (we're not aligned to any tech so zero sales pitches incoming).

It's been a couple of years since we've seen a bunch of marketing copy that starts with 'Covid changed everything'. Good news! We're rolling out this cliché one last time! B2B companies tend to spend a lot on their webinar stack. Often this technology plays badly with existing marketing automation platforms creating terrible user journeys, is expensive and is not 'live stream ready'. In a social first marketing environment - this is problematic. On this webinar we're going to assess the pros and cons of gating and some of the functionality with LinkedIn Live for paid and organic. We're going to look at some of the existing big players in the market like CVent, ON24 and GoToWebinar along with some of the newer additions to the market. We'll also be looking at paid channel recommendations and the challenges with each around webinars. Join Media Forty Two's Phil Cooper and Sophie McLeod as they share their experience and views around what is an important part of the B2B marketing mix.
