🌿 Thankful Thursday 🌿 You know we love a good garden glow-up here at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity — and thanks to the amazing team from BT Group, one of our Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust courtyards is looking better than ever! When our Switchboard and A&E Reception teams told us about a courtyard that had become a little overgrown, we reached out to BT Group’s corporate volunteers — and they answered our call and worked their magic! This refreshed space now offers a peaceful spot for staff to enjoy lunch or take a well-earned break from two incredibly busy MKUH departments. A huge thank you to Selina and the whole BT Group team — your time, energy, and teamwork have made a real difference here at MKUH. 💚 Supporter Spotlight: Stephen Prosser - Trilogy Cycle Challenge 💚 Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Steve to Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and showing him the incredible projects his fundraising has supported — and also talk to him about the ones still to come. Steve began fundraising for our Cancer Centre back in 2018, in memory of his wife Angela. 🙌 Feel Good Friday News 🙌 We’re proud to fund a wide range of projects that enhance the experience of patients, families, and staff at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. One of our latest additions is this fantastic overnight chair for Ward 3, which cares for elderly and frail patients. The chair is portable and easy to use—it folds out into a bed in seconds and can be moved to wherever it’s needed, offering comfort and convenience for relatives who need to stay with loved ones overnight. Senior Sister Tracy shared, “The overnight chair makes a huge difference to relatives, allowing them the opportunity to have a comfortable sleep.” Ward Housekeeper Sue (pictured) added, “Having a relative stay brings a huge amount of comfort to patients.” Thanks to your generous support, we’re able to fund meaningful projects like this that truly make a difference.
