    A few of us are back in New York (again) for a few days’. Spot the clues in the ‘not so subtle’ brand shots as to why. But also, great to finally check out Pura Vida Miami’s Williamsburg outpost. Really interesting to see how its ‘health is happiness’ Floridian concept would translate into Brooklyn… and it’s brilliant. The streamlined, wellness-centric offer, nutritious all-day breakfasts, superfood smoothies, bowls, and vegan/gluten-free options, resonates so strongly that NYC feels both a natural and strategic next step. For us, it’s proof that a carefully cultivated brand identity, anchored in wellness, design, and (particularly in Williamsburg) community, can create a culturally attuned experience. For casual-dining operators, the lesson is clear: authenticity, purpose, aesthetic clarity, and measured growth really can build meaningful scale. #foodservice #foodconcepts #NYCfood

    More milestones for Streets Ahead McCain Foodservice GB’s Streets Ahead programme, powered by KERB, continues to transform lives - helping refugees, prison leavers, unemployed youth, and those who’ve experienced homelessness build sustainable careers in hospitality. Last week, the Omne Agency team joined McCain once again at Mission Kitchen for the second Streets Ahead Panel Day of 2025. It’s an inspiring day where top talent from the programme pitch their business plans and showcase signature dishes that bring their culinary visions to life. And this time, it was great to have Simon Mitchell, CEO of KERB on the judging panel. On the day, McCain invested over £50,000 in these budding food entrepreneurs, with individuals receiving between £5,000 and £9,000 to kickstart their next chapter. That brings McCain’s total investment in new food businesses through Streets Ahead to just under £300,000 - a fantastic commitment to driving economic and social impact. Even more inspiring: Yogi, one of Streets Ahead’s alumni, shared his story last week in the Daily Mirror - a testament to what’s possible when talent and opportunity connect.
