📢 New Blog: From Beijing+30 to UNGA80: A year of renewed momentum to address the digital gender divide On Monday at #UNGA80, global leaders marked the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Platform for Action, unveiling new commitments and national action plans to advance gender equality. Beijing+30 placed a greater emphasis on bridging the digital gender divide, identifying it as one of six top priorities of the Action Agenda. Yet progress remains uneven: women in LMICs are still 14% less likely than men to use mobile internet. Closing this gap could generate $1.3 trillion in GDP between 2023–2030. 🌍 The political will exists. 💡Rumsan’s digital #EWS and humanitarian cash delivery solution: a lifeline for flood-prone communities in Nepal!🛟 Rumsan, a #GSMAInnovationFund startup, is utilising mobile and digital technologies to implement a blockchain-based early warning system (#EWS), aimed at facilitating anticipatory action and providing cash assistance solutions to vulnerable populations in Nepal’s Terai region.
