Consulting 101 & Alumni Insights
Kick off the bootcamp by demystifying the consulting industry and creating space for real-world insights through interactive breakout discussions. The first half will provide a clear overview of the consulting field—what consultants do, who the major players are, and how the recruiting process works. The second half will shift to breakout groups where students can connect directly with Tuck alumni who have worked in the consulting industry to ask questions, hear personal stories, and build confidence through informal networking.
Case Interview Foundations
This session lays the groundwork for the rest of the bootcamp by explaining what case interviews are, the types of cases students will encounter, and the typical structure used to solve them. It will emphasize what interviewers are meant to evaluate and how to approach a case interview with clarity and confidence.
Business Acumen
Participants will learn about how businesses operate as well as common business frameworks used for structuring and solving consulting cases.
How to Structure a Case
In this session you will learn tactics for breaking down ambiguous business problems using logical, MECE (Mutually Exclusive, Collectively Exhaustive) structures. You will be introduced to issue trees, common frameworks (profitability, market entry, etc.), and how to frame and organize your approach during a case.
Group Case & Feedback
Put theory into practice with a full run-through of a case interview as a group. The facilitator will guide participants through each component of the case, encouraging them to structure their approach, ask clarifying questions, and interpret data collaboratively. The facilitator will provide feedback throughout the session, and the correct solution will be shared at the end to reinforce key learnings.
Saturday, January 31 | 10 a.m.–5 p.m. ET | Zoom
Learn how to structure business problems, interpret data, and perform case math with confidence. Practice brainstorming techniques and tackle real interview prompts. End the day by delivering and receiving a peer-led mock case with personalized feedback.

Data Analysis and Interpretation
This module teaches how to extract insights from case exhibits, graphs, and tables. Students will practice identifying trends, drawing comparisons, and turning raw data into client-ready takeaways, building critical skills for both interview success and strong on-the-job performance.
Case Math and Drills
Develop confidence in mental math through structured estimation and financial reasoning exercises. Students learn how to approach market sizing, breakeven calculations, and revenue-cost problems with a clear, verbalized process that demonstrates business thinking under pressure.
Creativity and Brainstorming Techniques
Many cases require generating ideas or exploring growth options. This module helps students bring structure to brainstorming, using techniques like bucketed thinking and SCAMPER. It will include a rapid-fire ideation exercise with peer sharing and feedback.
How to Deliver a Case
Learn how to deliver compelling case presentations confidently and effectively.
Peer Case Practice
This session will provide students with the opportunity to better understand the value of delivering a mock case interview, as well as how to do so effectively. While walking through a case from the perspective of an interviewer, the facilitator will pause to allow the group to share their reflections and critical pieces of feedback. The session will conclude with a discussion about what each case deliverer should do to prepare to begin delivering cases to others, selecting a case you want to “own,” developing a model answer for the case, getting familiar with the case interview scorecard, and understanding the most common points of feedback.
Fit Interview and Storytelling
Consulting firms weigh behavioral interviews equally as heavily as the case portion. This session teaches students how to: craft compelling personal stories using the STAR method; highlight attributes that firms are seeking; and navigate questions such as “Tell me about yourself” and “Why consulting?”.
Saturday, February 7 | 10 a.m.–3 p.m. ET | Zoom
Elevate your casing with advanced strategies, industry primers, and full-length practice cases with feedback. Learn how to craft compelling behavioral stories and build a consulting-ready resume. Wrap up the day by developing a personalized preparation roadmap to guide next steps as you work toward a successful interview and offer.
