Fox News contributor Kellyanne Conway is championing President Donald Trump for “taking control” of various institutions and traditions of American life. She cited some of his most controversial decisions Friday — and joyously described them as “super exciting.”

The former Trump aide was hosting “Hannity” that evening and spoke to conservative podcaster Isabel Brown, who claimed that Cracker Barrel’s failed attempt to rebrand was “part of a much larger, sinister undertow of our culture led by the radical Marxist left.”

The eatery recently reimagined its logo, which featured an old white man sitting near a barrel, and replaced it with a more minimalist aesthetic. The brief change appeared to incite a MAGA-led culture war, with even Trump himself weighing in on his Truth Social platform.

“Cracker Barrel should go back to the old logo, admit a mistake based on customer response (the ultimate Poll), and manage the company better than ever before,” he wrote Tuesday. “They got a Billion Dollars worth of free publicity if they play their cards right.”

Conway not only agreed with Brown’s claim but also praised the president’s outsized influence.

“He is authentic all the way, but he’s also, I think, taking control of these areas that used to belong to the left,” Conway said Friday. “The arts and sports and entertainment and media and tech and culture. And look at what he’s doing to the Kennedy Center.”

“Look at what he’s doing at universities,” she added. “Look at what he’s doing with sports.”

Trump controversially fired numerous Kennedy Center board members earlier this year and made himself the chair of its governing body. The MAGA leader told reporters in February that he would “make sure” the performing arts institution stops being “woke.”

Trump has made several other aggressive moves to shift American culture to a more conservative direction: He’s not only sued media organizations that cover his policies critically, but also encouraged the deportations of students who protested Israel’s war on Gaza.

The president also weighed in earlier this month on the Sydney Sweeney controversy, after the “Euphoria” star drew backlash for her American Eagle campaign, in which the clothing company made a polarizing pun about its apparently superior jeans — or genes.

While critics have mocked the president’s base over their outrage at the Cracker Barrel logo change, Trump’s culture war distractions are unlikely to end. Last year, he teased a now-confirmed UFC fight at the White House set for Independence Day in 2026.
