You don’t want to inflate your startup and burden it with high personnel costs, so quality matters. The most important and also the most difficult task is finding the right people. Ideally, you’ll have deep conversations and proof-of-concept experiences, like hackathons, to find out whether someone aligns with your vision. The best fit isn’t necessarily the biggest expert, but someone you can trust. Someone with whom you have chemistry and could spend days and nights working. Someone who shares your values and vision. Someone who understands and can handle the volatility and financial reality of startup life.
