    Every project / construction is expected to be one time, time bound activity with aim of creating value for users. First find out the reason, either planning, execution, skill and experience has brought the project into this situation. In such situation quality is essential, but safety shall be vital. Review resources and mobilization plan. Testing of resources that may be workers and machine to be carried out. Quick adaption to the local conditions and support needed to be provided for workers and machines. Test Set Go may be followed. Negotiate with client, find out realistic deviation and make the client and self, realise it. Again communicating on heightened level to keep all minds on deck can not be overemphasized.

    Essentially, study deeply & quickly the reasons of time & cost overrun already happened and note down the risk areas. Form a task force with trusted teams consisting of Project control, buyer, QHSES, Subcontracts, Construction Management, identify a leader of this Task force. Let them prepare a recovery schedule with resource planning, construction method change and more modularization, less "stick built". Again run a risk analysis tool of the recovery plan and moderate. Review the teams deployed at onsite, if required bring a change. Communicate the expected change and take their buy in amicably. Time:2 wks. 2 levels review of the recovery trend till closure. 1. PM level: twice a week 2. CEO level: Weekly once No need to cut corners.
