How can Europe lead the 5G revolution without leaving anyone behind? The 5G-DiGITs project offers a clear answer: building a strong alliance between higher education, vocational training and industry to create innovative learning programmes that combine digital skills, green competencies and an entrepreneurial mindset. With partners from Germany, Greece, Spain, Lithuania, Malta, Ireland, Belgium and Sweden, the project focuses on building real bridges between the classroom and the job market. Its goal is to prepare a new generation of professionals capable of driving the deployment of 5G through innovation, sustainability and social responsibility. This educational and industrial alliance seeks to close the skills gap, boost green entrepreneurship, promote knowledge exchange and deliver up-to-date content on advanced technologies. The consortium includes universities, VET centres, tech companies and business support organisations. 5G-DiGITs does more than teach technology. It teaches purpose. The EU AI Act brings a clear framework to ensure transparency, safety, and accountability in the development and use of general-purpose artificial intelligence.  But here’s the key question:  Is Europe ready for this technological shift? 💡 The 5G-DiGITs project is part of the answer. This ecosystem is expected to create up to €800 billion in economic value by 2030 and 860,000 new jobs by 2025. But leadership requires more than investment.
