Many people think sleep apnea is just “loud snoring,” but it’s much more than that. When you have sleep apnea, your airway becomes blocked during sleep, causing your breathing to stop for short periods. Your brain wakes you up just enough to start breathing again — over and over, sometimes hundreds of times a night. The result? Your body never gets the deep, restorative rest it needs. Over time, this can lead to high blood pressure, heart problems, memory issues, and daytime fatigue. Recognizing the symptoms early is the first step toward protecting your health. 📍 If you’re concerned about your sleep, find an AADSM Qualified Dentist near you: dentalsleep.org/find.
