Join our award-winning Communications & Public Engagement team as a Public Information Officer/Information & Communication Specialist III and help inform, empower, and connect our community. In this role, you'll: -- Craft clear, compelling messages that keep residents and employees informed. -- Manage media relations, public records requests, and strategic outreach. -- Serve as a bridge between County services and the public. -- Support general government services, including Elections, Tax, Libraries, Planning, HR, Finance, and more. This position is considered essential personnel with on-call responsibilities, and FEMA PIO training is a plus. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates bring strong writing skills, experience in media or public relations, and a passion for transparency and service.
