📊 CEE Sustainable Finance Summit - in numbers. This May, we welcomed our largest and most diverse group of participants yet to Prague for the fourth edition of the Summit. Here’s a look at this year’s numbers: – 3 thematic days: Sustainability in Finance, Business, Banking – 42 sessions, including 10 panel discussions, 13 keynotes/on-stage interviews, 9 roundtables, and 9 TED-style talks – 85+ speakers from 24 countries – 400+ in-person visits representing over 20 countries – 36 partners – 10,000+ website visits in May The Summit is designed to break silos, and this year, that was more evident than ever. With voices from central banks, ministries, EU institutions, insurers, corporates, start-ups, and academia, we saw a truly 360-degree view of sustainability in practice - across sectors, disciplines, and levels of decision-making. CEE Sustainable Finance Summit 2025 — it’s a wrap! In three days, we saw bold and challenging ideas, open debate, and discussion about forward-looking strategies and actions. This year’s CEE Sustainable Finance Summit, hosted by International Sustainable Finance Centre (ISFC), made one thing clear: CEE stakeholders are ready to push for reform and change that can deliver improved competitiveness. What stood out? 🔹 New insights, deep expertise. Prof. Doyne Farmer wowed the audience with a deep dive into modelling complexity and climate resilience. Prof. Dirk Schoenmaker challenged conventional frameworks, exploring the GDP dilemma and transition risk. 🔹 Systemic change is now the baseline. Prof. Irene Monasterolo reminded us that climate risk is already embedded in our financial systems — we need to price it, plan for it, and act accordingly. 🔹 CEE has leverage and leadership. From Munir Nanji calling for ambition and vision, to insights from Petr Koblic and Sanaa Mehra on green bonds and market evolution — the region’s role in sustainable finance was unmistakable. Marek Mora brought it home: Without long-term thinking - especially around demographics - there is no next step. 🔹 From policy to portfolios - we need better tools. Paul Hiebert shared insights from the ECB’s Financial Stability Report, while Raul Garcia Rodriguez laid out how decarbonisation must be embedded across mortgages, lending, and fixed income. The message? Real change comes from execution — not intention.
