🧠 This week’s episode of The Daily from The New York Times — “The Debate Over A.D.H.D.” — has sparked important conversations among parents, clinicians, and healthcare leaders. Thank you to Julia Michael for highlighting it and giving Clarity Pediatrics a kind shoutout. At Clarity, we’ve built a care model that fulfills the American Academy of Pediatrics’ guidelines for comprehensive ADHD care — combining evidence-based behavioral parent training, school support, and medication when appropriate. We started with families at the center. Our structured behavioral parent training equips caregivers with practical tools to manage attention challenges, reduce disruptive behaviors, and strengthen routines — all while supporting the parent-child relationship. From that foundation, we’ve grown into a multidisciplinary model that now includes medication as an evidence-based intervention, alongside lifestyle medicine support such as: 🔹Coaching for better sleep hygiene 🔹Targeted physical activity recommendations 🔹Support with reducing screen time 🔹Nutrition strategies that emphasize protein and healthy eating habits We’ve also developed additional programs to meet the needs of families facing more complex challenges, including: 🔹 RUBI – for children with ADHD and mild-to-moderate autism 🔹 HOME – supporting executive function and organizational skills 🔹 MBE (Managing Big Emotions) – focused on emotional regulation and resilience We believe that ADHD care should go beyond medication alone — providing families with the skills, strategies, and support they need to thrive. It should empower children and families with lifelong skills — and ensure that behavioral health care is compassionate, evidence-based, and accessible.
