When we started Clinical Elevate, we had a decision to make: We could be vendors: providing a service, going through the standard implementation process, hoping for adoption then moving on to the next hospital. Or: We could be partners: a true extension of an organization’s clinical team. We could collaborate with our customers to learn their pain points from the inside and then leverage the collective wisdom of our team (all with advanced clinical backgrounds) to problem-solve based on each hospital’s unique clinical workflows. Let’s face it, hospitals are complex like bustling little cities. They never sleep, they’re packed with specialized departments like neighborhoods, and they rely on a complex web of infrastructure, communication, and coordination to keep everything running smoothly. From clinical care to compliance, staffing to supply chains, every piece must work in harmony - and when one-part falters, the ripple effects can be massive and impact patient care. If you’re not familiar with the clinical environment or how these cities operate, the chances of you implementing tech that A. solves real problems and B. gets enough buy-in to do more than sit on a desktop is slim to none. We’re partners, not vendors. It was an easy choice. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/grJencMz

How our specialized clinical team is changing healthcare implementation: 1️⃣ Leveraging the collective wisdom of our team (all advanced practice nurses with informatics know-how in their front pocket. Right next to their trauma shears.) 2️⃣ Leaning clinical-first and people first by using evidence-based tools to gather data. 3️⃣ Listening to the staff and leadership who will be using the tools, rather than trusting project metrics to guide decisions. We don’t diagnose from a book, we take a look at the patient. 4️⃣ Creating a defined engagement plan (12 months) with distinct phases and outcomes, including a stabilization period so that hospital staff don’t feel abandoned to sink or swim with new tech. Because of this collaborative approach we haven’t just revolutionized alarm management (43% reductions in alarms for clients), we’ve developed an entirely new approach to clinical implementation: Listen, observe, optimize. It’s going so well, we plan to have benchmark data to provide to our customers by 2026. Learn More: https://hubs.ly/Q03BkJwS0

Here’s something hospital staff rarely get to experience: Silence. Nurses at Novant Health were so startled by the 43% reduction in alarms after implementing Clinical Elevate, they started turning on monitors in vacant rooms just to test the system. It was too quiet. Something must be broken. Turns out: nothing was. Except, of course, for the old way of doing things… As advanced practice nurses themselves, the Clinical Elevate team knows the sanity-testing burden of constant unnecessary alarms. It keeps clinical staff (already stretched thin) on edge, highlights the growing disconnect between technical and clinical teams, and stokes fear in patients who should be resting rather than tuning out the blare. In some, less complex, environments the solution to alarm fatigue might be purely administrative. Maybe as simple as turning the darn things off. But in a hospital: where alarms are life-saving devices and every department has their own workflows and workarounds, the job of alarm management—like diagnosing an unusual presentation of an illness—isn’t so simple. Every hospital is unique. The causes and symptoms of disconnected workflows differ across departments, units, and between staff. That’s why we implement Connexall Clinical Elevate in three distinct phases: Phase 1: Assess We partner with a clinical champion on the inside to learn pain points Then review existing policies, training and education, as well as surveying staff to locate the invisible gaps. Phase 2: Observe Our team of experts observe on-site workflows, looking for environmental communication blockers. Then, we listen. Interviewing staff, leadership, and key stakeholders for insights. Phase 3: Optimize We ingest and analyze all the data we’ve collected. If there isn’t an alarm committee in place, we help them stand up and operationalize one. Then ensure adoption with a (vital) 90-day stabilization period At every step we’re looking, listening, learning. Collaborating with clients to diagnose their unique problems, so we can design a solution that works for people first, machines second. For Clinical Elevate, our team’s clinical background is their unfair advantage. Nurses just know how to listen. For us, silence isn’t just where we hope to end up: it’s also where we begin.
