    Technical Consultant@CraneTech Houston, TX

Two successful installations in one week for the CraneTech, Houston Team. This freestanding runway left our Tulsa Fabrication Shop on Monday, the two bridge cranes followed on Thursday. The entire system was installed by Friday afternoon. This is a testament both to the quality production by CraneTech, Tulsa. And the level of technical professionalism we have in Houston.

  • If you’re working with overhead cranes, you already know safety isn’t optional—it’s essential. But what exactly does a compliant inspection look like? And how do you stay ahead of OSHA and industry standards without slowing down operations? Here’s a quick breakdown: • OSHA 1910.179 and CFR regulations set the legal baseline for overhead crane inspections • ASME/ANSI B30.2 adds another layer of safety-focused best practices • CMAA Standards 70, 74, and 78 go deeper with guidance for design, service, and inspections Staying compliant means understanding all three. At CraneTech, our team knows these standards inside and out. We’re not here to upsell—we’re here to help you get it right the first time. Whether you’re dealing with a scheduled inspection, a compliance question, or just want to make sure your crew is covered—we’ve got your back. Need practical answers from trained experts? Father | Crane Technician | Dedicated to serving others

I was given the privilege of spending a day with our amazing install team here at CraneTech Tulsa and I can’t brag on them enough. I came in at the tail end of this project but they made it easy to jump in and take off, here’s why: • Our team is clear and concise - directions and objectives are specific, detailed and prepared • Steady and safe - Safety isn’t compromised due to unrealistic deadlines. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. • Quality - Our fabrication team nails it perfectly every time. At CraneTech we don’t just build cranes, we build art.

  • Load testing saves lives. It confirms your crane or hoist can safely handle its rated capacity—so you’re not relying on guesswork. When is it required? • Before first use of new cranes/hoists • After major repairs or modifications • Post-incident (dropped load, collision) • For critical lifts or high-risk environments • As part of preventive maintenance Skipping load tests can lead to: • Equipment failure • Costly damage • Serious injuries—or worse Bottom line: If you're not sure when your last test was, it's time to check. Let’s make sure your team and equipment are safe to lift another day. Need guidance? CraneTech is here to help. CEO @ Steel River / CraneTech

I am thrilled to announce that Steel River made the Inc. 5000 again! This year, we broke the top 500, as the 366th fastest growing private company in America!! Recognition like this is a major testament to the hard work and contributions from our amazing team, and especially our field technicians. Additionally- while CraneTech and North American Crane Bureau, Inc. are growing fast, our goal is not to be the biggest crane company. Our goal is to be the BEST!! 🚀 🚀 🚀 🏗️ 🏗️ 🏗️ #overheadcranes #Inc5000 https://lnkd.in/gkTPtuzX

  • Total working or engine hours ≠ actual wear. Want smarter, more accurate crane maintenance? Start tracking working hours — the time a crane is under load, not just turned on. Why it matters: • Total hours include idle time • Working hours show real stress and wear Using working hours helps you: • Prevent over/under-maintenance • Reduce downtime and surprise failures • Improve resale value and predictions Next steps: Access load data, update your CMMS, and train your team to track what's really happening. Right data = better decisions. Schedule your Planned Repairs with CraneTech here: https://hubs.la/Q03zH3RS0 #CraneMaintenance #PredictiveMaintenance #CMMS #HeavyEquipment #Efficiency

  • Crane Safety: 5 Field-Ready Tips 1. Level your crane — Use outriggers properly and crib on soft ground. Don’t assume—it only takes a few degrees to throw things off. 2. Trust, but verify — Always recheck radius and actual load weight against your chart before lifting. 3. Use a signal person — Radios fail. Hands don’t. Use standard hand signals and pause the lift if anything’s unclear. 4. Watch the wind — Gusts over 20–25 mph can make a safe lift dangerous—especially with large surface area loads. 5. Respect your tech — Load indicators and safety systems only help when maintained and properly used. Don’t ignore alerts. Bottom line: Plan right. Communicate clearly. Lift safe. Got your own go-to safety checks or crane habits? Drop them in the comments—let’s learn from each other. #cranetips #safetyfirst #liftingoperations #fieldready #constructionlife
