We are thrilled to have raised over £30k for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, as part of our continued partnership with the amazing charity! 👏 Once again, a huge thanks to all the teams involved who helped make this happen! #WilliamHill #MND #CharityRaceDay #RiponRacecourse #ESG #Fundraiser
On Saturday 16 August, our charity partners at William Hill and evoke dedicated their annual 'The Great St Wilfrid Day', in partnership with Ripon Racecourse, to the fight against MND, raising an astounding £33,000. 🏇 Jo Coker, Director of Income Generation at the MND Association, said: ‘’We are thrilled to have been part of the St Wilfrid’s Race Day with William Hill. It was a fantastic occasion and an invaluable opportunity to raise awareness and vital funds to support people living with MND and their families” Ben Wright, Director of ESG and Sustainability at Evoke said "Saturday was a momentous day at Ripon, bringing to life our brilliant partnership with the MND Association. "We were proud to host members of the MND community, including volunteers who did a brilliant job fundraising on the day. I was especially delighted for us to be able to dedicate the name of a race to Tamara, who is our inspiration for the partnership and unfortunately has MND." The Raceday was the latest in a long line of fundraising efforts by the team at Evoke who, via the William Hill brand, has committed to raise £400,000 for the MND Association. The charity was nominated by colleagues as it’s charity of the year in honour of Tamara, a former William Hill employee who was diagnosed with MND when she was 26. We are enormously grateful to William Hill and Evoke for their continued commitment as our Charity Partner this year – together we will continue to fight for a world free from MND.
