Factor Reaffirms Commitment to Fighting Hunger in Aurora Community! The donation underscores Factor’s ongoing commitment to combating food insecurity in the communities it serves. In Illinois, one in eight people face food insecurity, meaning they lack consistent access to nutritious food, which is essential for a healthy lifestyle. Recognizing the importance of distributing fresh meals and produce to underserved communities, Factor donated refrigerated vans to Northern Illinois Food Bank, Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry, Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry, Loaves & Fishes Community Services, and Kendall County Food Pantry to help expand their reach and impact. By providing refrigerated vans equipped for transporting fresh, perishable food supplies, Factor is doubling down on its commitment to these partners, helping to eliminate the logistical challenges that many food pantries face. “At Factor, we believe everyone deserves access to nutritious, wholesome meals so they can thrive,” said Dan Seidel, Chief Operations Officer at HelloFresh North America, the parent company of Factor. “Many food banks doing vital work in our communities encounter limitations when it comes to cold storage and transportation. We hope this donation helps these organizations overcome those barriers and better meet the growing need.” Through its Fuel for Change Initiative, Factor works with food banks and partner agencies in and around Aurora to provide ready-to-eat meals and surplus ingredients to people facing hunger. “This generous donation from Factor is a game-changer for our local food banks and for families in need, who will now be able to receive fresher, healthier food more easily,” said Alderman Carl Franco. “This isn’t just about transportation; it’s about ensuring no one in our community goes hungry.” This donation builds on Factor’s commitment, announced last year, to donate 10 refrigerated vans to organizations across the Feeding America Network. 

We are excited to partner with Rivian to further our commitment to sustainability and protecting the environment by incorporating 70 Rivian electric vans into our fleet. Factor_ is Rivian's first major fleet customer since it opened van sales to the public earlier this year. With Rivian’s support, we’ve already saved an estimated 20,000 gallons of gasoline and significantly reduced our CO2 output by 200 tonnes (the amount of carbon absorbed by 300 acres of U.S. forest).
