Farrell has led global teams and repositioned Fortune 500 brands, higher education institutions, startups and their products to be more relevant, resonant and results-driven. Leading From the Center in Chaotic Times... Join Sam Hartsock and me for a virtual POWER HOUR! ✨ Let’s be honest. A lot of leaders are operating in F.I.N.E. mode right now — F'd up, Insecure, Numb and Exhausted. Headlines are loud. Tariffs. Immigration. ESG backlash. Global uncertainty... The stakes are high, and the default for many is silence — or reactive noise. If you're a sustainability or impact leader, you don’t have the luxury of either. That’s why I'm teaming up with qb. consulting for a virtual Power Hour that is open to everyone! If you are a sustainability, comms, and/or strategy leader who wants to show up with integrity but need more clarity, this is for you. This session isn’t going to be about spinning narratives or venting behind closed doors... We’re here to give you a tactical framework (read: mindset + method) to help you: * Anchor decisions in your organization's strategic pillars and material issues * Know what you’ll concede, what you’ll fight for, and what’s up for discussion * Communicate across stakeholder groups with intention and alignment * Stay relevant and empathetic without chasing every headline You’ve already mapped what matters. Now it’s time to activate it — in your voice, in your narrative, in this moment. Join us! Sam Hartsock and I have been hatching an idea. Where it started — the awareness that a lot of us are operating in F.I.N.E. mode (F’d up, Insecure, Numb, and Exhausted)… you can thank us later for the new meaning behind saying “I’m fine.” A NYT article — acknowledging “fine” = “surviving” and a conversation that explored what on Earth we can do about it. (see Sam’s comments in the link.) Where we’re headed — A virtual Power Hour crafted just for us! For leaders that have done the work, know our material issues, and want to show up with integrity but feel that we need more clarity on how to move forward. This won’t be a gripe session — it will be an opportunity to proactively explore the mindsets and methods needed to lead with confidence amid this chaos. 🗓️ May 27 | 9:30 am PT 🎟️ Event link in the comments We hope to see you there! ✨🐝

Farrell M. Calabrese and I have been scheming. It started with this NYT article (in the comments). Then a few texts. And then we couldn’t stop talking about comms, courage and how the best leaders are the ones who stay centered even when everything else is loud. Because here’s the thing: Saying nothing creates a void. Reacting to every headline drains you. But starting from your material issues? That's how you lead with confidence. We’re hosting a tactical Power Hour for leaders who want to respond with clarity and without panic. 🗓️ May 27 | 9:30am PT 🎟️ Event link in the comments

Navigating Change with Purpose ✨ Over my 20 years of working with people and organizations to make an impact through strategic marketing, sustainability and communications - I’ve witnessed the ‘trends’, ‘fads’, ‘buzz words’ across all industries trying to capitalize on ‘what’s hot’ and differentiate themselves. And you know what, it’s exhausting to operate in a system of chasing externalities for fear of missing out. In that process, you are exhausting your employees, your customers/clients, your investors and I can guarantee you - your leaders! This way of being is not sustainable. You know what hasn’t changed over the last 20 years? The strategic clarity that operating from a true, authentic purpose and values brings to individuals, teams and organizations. I have dedicated my career to helping people and organizations thrive while making a positive impact on the world. The world changes, and we have to adapt. But we don’t have to change who we are at our core. What challenges are you currently facing in your sustainability journey? Let’s explore how we can collaborate to accelerate and scale your unique purpose and values across your business operations and human experiences. I am looking to scale my impact through: ✨ Advisory roles ✨ Purpose and Values workshops ✨ Co-creating Materiality integration strategies ✨ Co-creating unique story frameworks, executive communications, brand positioning ✨ Team REBOOTs ✨ Executive/ professional coaching 📲 DM me to learn more. #brand #strategy #leadership #purpose #values #sustainability

Coldplay didn't just plant a tree🌱 They pushed the limit 🎸 I love concerts. The wastefulness always hurts me. And: Coldplay's Music of the Spheres tour 'did' push the limit to see - "what a greener and more circular tour can be?" The band surpassed their initial 50% emissions reduction goal, achieving a 60% decrease compared to their 2016 tour. Here's how they made it happen: ✈️ Minimising air travel. 🚗 Using sustainable aviation fuel. 🌱 Planting a tree for every ticket sold. 📱 Rewarding fans for the use of low-carbon transport. ♻️ Building stages from low-carbon, reusable materials like bamboo. 🔋 Powering shows with renewable energy, including kinetic dancefloors. Can you enjoy a "green" concert more? #circulareconomy #zerowaste #innovation Credit: Ecomedy

Not many of my professional friends know this, but my career started as one of the youngest assistant coaches in ACC D1 Rowing. I was on the inaugural rowing team at Clemson University / Clemson Athletics, my parents having walked me into the coaches office on my college visit. I didn’t row in high school, but knew that I’d have a walk-on opportunity in a sport that was being invested in and growing across D1 universities. After meeting coach (and still dear friend) Kelly Lynch - my fate was sealed. This California girl was meant to be a Tiger. As a five-sport athlete in high school, and a daughter of a UCLA football player - the principals of sport have always been embedded within me. Positive Mindset, Hard Work, Performance, Reflection >> all towards a common goal. They are things I have practiced all my life. Fast-forward, and I am still in the realm of collegiate athletics, my husband (Scott Calabrese) being the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at the University of Central Florida, and so many of our closest friends being coaches as well. On the brink of what will be an interesting day, I was thinking about the past and the future & how I got to where I am today. If I have learned anything from my experiences across life, I know that great things can be achieved when people believe in a common goal, the path forward to get there, and their personal abilities to make an impact. Tomorrow, we will celebrate MLK’s leadership and legacy while also transitioning to a new President. On a lighter note (for those that are not Notre Dame or Ohio State fans) we will also celebrate the pinnacle event of this year’s college football season. Across both - leadership will be on display. So while I am neutral on the outcomes of tomorrow’s game - let’s all be the leaders we have had or wish we did. Let’s find love in ‘the game’, in life, in the process of becoming our greatest selves… collectively… by first believing that we can. ✨ (Thank you to all who have given me a shot, a challenge, or a vision for what could be.
