Building the #petfood plant of the future requires clear vision, smart planning and trusted partners. With the right construction, engineering and architectural support, manufacturers can create facilities built for performance, efficiency and long-term growth. From automation and sustainability to hygiene and scale, the demands placed on modern pet food facilities are growing fast, leading to a need in partners who understand the complex realities of pet food production. “When production can’t keep pace with demand or the process becomes too complex for the current facility, it’s time to take a step back,” said Brett Goode of Gray. I have this saying I tell myself, and now my team: “Get comfortable being uncomfortable.” Growth rarely feels smooth. When everything is easy, we are repeating what we already know. Real progress lives at the edge of our capability. Think about the gym. Muscles build through effort that hurts a little. You add weight, create microtears, recover, and come back a little stronger. Soreness is not failure, it is feedback. The same pattern exists in our careers. New roles, bigger projects, tough conversations, unfamiliar technology. Discomfort is the work that builds capacity. Try this week: • Take a stretch assignment you are not fully ready for. • Ask the question you are hesitant to ask. • Share the draft before it feels perfect. • Speak the truth which may be unpopular. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Embrace the discomfort of growth. Do the difficult things. Your career will thank you later! #Leadership #GrowthMindset #ContinuousImprovement #ProfessionalDevelopment #DesignBuild
