Hydrant Guard is an above grade valve attachment that prevents sheared fire hydrants from releasing water surges.
About us
Hydrant Guard is an easily installed above grade valve attachment that prevents sheared fire hydrants from releasing water surges. A sheared (broken) fire hydrant can spew thousands of gallons of water per minute onto roads, sidewalks and buildings. Incidents like this are very common, occurring mainly due to automobile accidents. With a minimal effect on actual hydrant operation, Hydrant Guard goes unnoticed until it’s needed. As soon as a hydrant is sheared, Hydrant Guard springs into action. Its valves immediately close, effectively sealing the water supply and significantly reducing water loss, leaving only a witness stream as a signal.

Legislation season for fast-tracking the Delta Conveyance is over, but the debate isn’t. The Governor’s trailer bill didn’t make it to the floor before the deadline. Given how controversial the bill is, its time under debate is far from over. https://loom.ly/s_-sl8Q

#California #HydrantWatch ⛲👀 0️⃣9️⃣/1️⃣0️⃣/2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣ 🚰 When a neighborhood feud boils over, sometimes the hydrants feel the heat… 💥 One domestic spat recently turned into a full-on hydrant shear, unleashing a geyser that flooded the street. Moral of the story: keep your cool, or you might just blow the cap off more than the argument. 😉 While we can't do anything about domestic disputes, Hydrant Guard's mission is to end hydrant geysers. 🚫⛲ #EndHydrantGeysers #CAWater #WaterConservation

The health of California water is entwined with the sky. Federal satellites provide an enormous amount of important data for Californians to better understand the state of water—and therefore, the state of the Golden State. https://loom.ly/x_nCnss

Congrats to the City of Temecula for breaking ground on Phase 2B of the Murrieta Creek flood protection project, supported by a $39M federal grant. Their new work aims to improve flood safety. It also has the added benefit of including new recreational areas 🏇🏃🚴♂️ https://loom.ly/HrSmOO0

"...you’ll probably see some public water providers stop using tiered rates because it’s too risky, and they’ll charge the same rate for everybody. Flat rates have an intuitive appeal, but you could see legal attacks on flat rates as well. There’s no safe haven for public water providers here." https://loom.ly/Y3PyStc

The Imperial Irrigation District's move to support the Delta Conveyance Project sends a signal to other major Southern California water users that increased H2O from Northern California could be a tide that lifts all boats. https://loom.ly/ZiVi0bI

Thanks to everyone who has supported ACM and our core mission to conserve water daily. This is the recap video from Tri-States Seminar from the vendor’s perspective. I have been attending this show for 15 years, and I have the pleasure of showcasing innovation in our industry. Hydrant Guard is an incredible device! Big shoutout to my team!
