Yesterday, we were honored to welcome Secretary of Education Patrick Tutwiler, EEC Commissioner Amy Kershaw, and their dedicated teams to JRI’s Rediscovery House. Together, we engaged in a meaningful conversation about JRI’s residential schools, group homes, and our wraparound service model that supports youth and families across Massachusetts. The visit included a tour of Rediscovery, where guests saw firsthand the spaces that foster healing and growth—including the gym, where youth can participate in trauma-informed weightlifting as part of their therapeutic journey. 🚤 Big news from Anchor Academy! Our students were featured on WCVB’s 5 for Good for an incredible hands-on project — building and sailing their very own boat! 🛠️⛵️ Through our partnership with the Community Boating Center in New Bedford, students not only built a wherry skiff from scratch, but now sail it during summer sessions.
