Brand Journalism, Digital Marketing, Experiential PR and Creative for the Automotive, Luxury and Outdoor Market.

About us

Kahn Media is the bridge between brands and consumers. We are a creative marketing firm connected to the industry, media and consumers. With two dozen publicists, writers, videographers, editors, and designers, we are the only agency in the mobility and luxury lifestyle space that handles all public relations, content marketing, video production and digital marketing in-house. That means increased control, consistency and results when compared to other agencies that rely on farmed out work. We have contacts at every level of the media, from the top-tier mainstream news outlets to the luxury and fine art press, and we work with over 30 of the biggest brands in the auto, art, tech, museum and luxury/lifestyle space. We believe in relationship-driven media exposure, events, content marketing and branding campaigns do more than place stories and sell products: they forge relationships that last. We know what works, and what doesn’t. Kahn Media uses a R.O.A.D. Map for building new social media campaigns: • Research – Monitor target audiences about brands and competition • Objectives – Define objectives with target audiences and social metrics • Actions – Create a social marketing strategy with a definitive plan of action • Devices – Deploy social platforms based on audience, objectives and strategy People inherently want to support the companies they know and trust. After all, word-of-mouth marketing is still the best new business tool in the world, we just give it a little bump and an electronic megaphone. Specialties: Specializations include in-depth knowledge of the transportation industry, the automotive aftermarket, men's consumer goods and the luxury/lifestyle realm.

Want to learn how to actually use AI to grow your business? Join us for a free webinar on August 22 at 11AM PST where we’ll share real-world, actionable tips on how to streamline your operations, sharpen your strategy, and get ahead of the competition with smarter AI tools and tactics. We believe the future of search is not just about keywords or backlinks. It is about making sure your brand is known, trusted, and visible when someone asks an AI tool a question that matters to your business. Optimizing for AI search is not the same as traditional SEO. There is no exact checklist to follow, and the rules continue to shift. That is why we are focused on helping brands close the gap between what AI knows about them and what they want to be known for. Our work in this space is hands-on and ongoing. We are developing a framework that prioritizes relevance, trust, and long-term visibility over short-term tricks. We are analyzing how real people use prompts, where AI systems pull their information from, and how content needs to evolve to stay competitive. AI search optimization is just one piece of the puzzle, though. We will be unpacking all of this and more during the webinar. Hope to see you there.

Timothy Parkhurst knew he wanted to be a Marine from a young age—and he followed through, serving 25 years as a Scout Sniper across four conflicts. After retiring, he founded the Marine Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation to preserve the legacy of the sniper community and build a memorial to its fallen in Quantico. In this episode, Tim talks with host Dan Kahn about: - Life after the military—and why that transition is so tough - What it means to be mission-driven, even after service - The power (and limits) of small teams - Why staying calm under pressure isn’t just for snipers It’s a great conversation about service, purpose, and building something meaningful. • A newsletter and an email marketing campaign are not the same thing. They serve different purposes and require different approaches. A newsletter is about connection. It shares stories, ideas, and insights. It builds trust and loyalty by showing up consistently with something valuable to say. Email marketing is about structure and strategy. It uses data, automation, and targeting to guide someone toward a specific action. It is often part of a broader campaign designed to drive results. Both matter. Especially in industries where advertising is limited and organic reach is shrinking. Email is one of the few channels where you fully own the relationship. Rethinking your email strategy? We’re happy to chat.

Most people think email is outdated. But the smartest creators and business leaders know better. They are using it to build real relationships, one inbox at a time. One of my favorite examples is Matthew McConaughey’s weekly newsletter Lyrics of Livin’. It goes out every Friday afternoon and is full of thoughtful stories and reflections. My favorite one so far was about the difference between campfires and bonfires. Campfires are the small distractions that feel important but pull you away from your real goals. Bonfires are the few things that truly matter. His advice was simple: put out the campfires and focus on fueling the bonfires. What I love most is that it does not read like a celebrity newsletter. There is no PR spin or corporate polish. It is smart, soulful, and clearly written by someone who cares about sharing something real. That is the power of email when it is done right. There is no algorithm deciding who sees it. There is no pressure to go viral. It is just a direct line between the sender and the reader. Email is still one of the most effective tools for connection and storytelling. It is personal. It is powerful. And it works. There is a difference between a newsletter and email marketing. But more on that later. If you have something valuable to share, consider starting a newsletter. The right people will want to hear from you.
