Labette Center is pleased to announce two new therapists that are now providing services to individuals! Kathy Allen and Kelsey Green transitioned into the role of therapist on June 17th after graduating in May from the University of Kansas with master's in social work. Both Kathy and Kelsey have received full licensure as LMSW's (Licensed Masters Social Worker) in the State of Kansas. Contact our office today for more information about starting services! Kathy began working in the clinical department as a licensed therapist on June 17th. A southeast Kansas native, Kathy holds a bachelor’s degree from Pittsburg State University in Social Work. After completing the bachelor’s program, Kathy went on to obtain a master’s in social work and received her License Master Social Work (LMSW). Kathy has worked for years in the child welfare services. Kathy began working in Labette Center's children's department in February of 2023 and is now excited to become a part of Labette Center’s clinical department. Kathy enjoys listening to audiobooks, arts and crafts and spending time with her family. Kelsey Green began working in the clinical department as a licensed therapist on June 17th. Originally from Cherokee, Kelsey has an associate’s in communications, an associates in liberal studies from Labette Community College, and a bachelor’s degree in social Welfare from the University of Kansas. After completing the bachelor’s program, Kelsey went on to obtain a master’s in social work and has received her License Master Social Work (LMSW). Kelsey has worked at Labette Center since August of 2023 in the business office. In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys reading, coloring, spending time with her family and friends, and traveling with her fiancé. “We are very proud of Kathy and Kelsey for this accomplishment,” stated Matthew Atteberry, Executive Director for Labette Center. “They have worked hard and done an amazing job with this achievement.”
