Thanks to my friend Chris Singleterry from UAG — who somehow knows everyone — I didn’t have a single awkward moment wondering who to talk to. -- ✨ Chris isn’t just the kind of person you want in your professional corner; he’s the kind of friend you feel lucky to have in your life. ✨ Because of him, I got to meet (in real life!) Michael Santos, Veronica Gonzales, Monica Rodriguez, Rebecca Treanor, Rick Greene, Casey Layman and so many more… including Chris’s amazing wife! This industry we call multifamily is unique — filled with people who compete hard, collaborate often, yet always come together to support one another. Last night was a perfect reminder of that. 🎉 1 Year at OneApp 🎉 Tuesday marked one year since I joined OneApp—and it’s hard to put into words just how much this year has shaped me. When I graduated, I hoped to find a role where I could make a real impact—especially in housing. But I honestly didn’t expect that to happen right away. I thought I’d have to wait years before doing meaningful work. Instead, I stepped into a role that aligned exactly with the kind of change I wanted to be part of—and I was trusted to contribute from day one. That changed everything. Working on a mission this bold—housing 1 million people by 2032—isn’t just energizing. It’s transformative. I’ve learned that belief in a mission means choosing to show up every single day to build toward something bigger than yourself, especially when the path forward is unclear. Some of the biggest lessons I’ve learned: - Culture isn’t a perk—it’s the framework that supports you when things get ambiguous. - Impact doesn’t come with a playbook—you create it by leaning into the unknown. - Growth happens fast when the stakes are high and the work is real. Most of all, I’ve learned that fulfillment doesn’t wait until “later” in your career. It’s here now—when you’re surrounded by people who believe, when the mission keeps you up at night (in the best way), and when you get to help build something that’s never existed before.
