In 1987, POET began with a single bioethanol plant in Scotland, South Dakota, and a bold belief that agriculture could fuel a better future. Fast forward to 2025: we’re the world’s largest biofuels producer, with 34bioprocessing facilities, cutting-edge research, and an ever-growing portfolio of renewable bioproducts — from animal feed products to purified alcohol and more. We've come a long way, but our mission hasn’t changed: to create a world where every day is fueled by nature. And we’re just getting started.
