We’re the Rainforest Alliance—and we dream of the day we’re no longer needed. 🌱 Don’t believe us? Just ask our co-founder Daniel Katz, who raised our very first “Save the Rainforest” banner nearly 40 years ago... and has been trying to work himself out of a job ever since. If you believe in protecting forests, defending human rights, and taking bold action on climate, then don’t just sit there—join the movement! 👉 https://bit.ly/4mnuQkt #RainforestAlliance #RainforestAllianceCertified #Certification #SustainableAgriculture #ClimateAction

An international non-profit organization working to create a better future for people and nature
About us
The Rainforest Alliance is an international non-profit organization working in more than 60 countries at the intersection of business, agriculture, and forests. We are building an alliance to create a better future for people and nature by making responsible business the new normal. By bringing diverse allies together we are making deep-rooted change on some of our most pressing social and environmental issues. Together, we amplify the voices of farmers and forest communities, improve livelihoods, protect biodiversity, and help people mitigate and adapt to climate change in bold and effective ways. Join our alliance. Our alliance is all about changing the way the world produces, sources and consumes. Every company has the power to help build a better future by sourcing commodities responsibly and adapting its business model to become more sustainable. By joining us, you are helping meet the increase in demand for responsibly made products. And when the demand is there, farmers and foresters work hard to meet it, helping drive real, meaningful impact. Everyone wins when we bring the right people together. The Rainforest Alliance has recently merged with UTZ, a Netherlands-based program and label for sustainable farming worldwide. Indigenous peoples and local communities have an unsurpassed connection to the Earth’s forests. 🌳 Even with limited access to financial resources and legal protections, they remain some of the most effective guardians of the world’s forests. That's why Rainforest Alliance has made it a priority to partner with—and learn from—Indigenous peoples and local communities. 🤝 #RainforestAlliance #IndigenousCommunities #IndigenousPeoples #LocalCommunities #ForestStewardship

At the Rainforest Alliance, we’re transforming the way the world farms—working alongside farmers, communities, and companies to build a future where we give back to nature more than we take. 🌱 Our certification program, aligned with #EUDR, is a win-win for both farmers and businesses. For the mostly smallholder farmers we work with, certification means practical training in sustainable practices, better market access, and new opportunities to boost incomes. In 2024, Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee reached: ☕ 29 countries growing Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee ☕ 1.9 million hectares of certified farm land ☕ 1.9 million farmers and workers involved in certified coffee production Read more about the impact of certification in our 2024 Coffee Certification Report here! ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gxQiXVeS #RainforestAlliance #Certification #Coffee #Sustainability #SustainableCoffee #Smallholders

🌍 Do sustainability standards make a difference? Yes, and the evidence backs it up. Research shows that standards contribute to progress on climate change, reducing deforestation, improving farmer and worker livelihoods, conserving biodiversity, and upholding and advancing human rights. In fact, there's more research on standards than any other market-based sustainability tool or even regulation. But the evidence does not offer simple yes or no answers. Standards don’t operate in a vacuum. Real, lasting change requires enabling conditions — like supportive policy, market integration and collaborative action. Their impacts are strongest as part of a broader mix of tools tackling systemic sustainability challenges. 🔎 In our latest article, Vidya Rangan, ISEAL’s Director of Policy & Engagement, explores the evidence — and what it means. 📚 Visit Evidensia to dive into the research. 🔗 Explore our resources > https://ow.ly/Kr3g50WsGiH #SustainabilityStandards #SustainabilityEvidence #VoluntaryStandards #VSS #ESG

As of June 16, #EUDR-aligned requirements are now fully integrated into the Rainforest Alliance Certification program for coffee and cocoa! ☕🍫 This means all current and future farm certificate holders within these crops will be audited against these requirements—supporting producers on their path to EUDR compliance and continued access to the EU market. Already, around 50% of certificate holders in the coffee and cocoa sectors are taking this critical step. 🎥 But don’t take it from us! Hear directly from farmers and cooperative leaders in Brazil about what this means for them—and how Rainforest Alliance certification is helping them get ready. #RainforestAlliance #Sustainability #Certification #Cocoa #Coffee
