Founder & CEO @ Simplify | Looking for a job?

In our first year building Simplify, we autofilled 100,000 job applications. Today, we crossed that before lunch. In the last 24 hours, Simplify users applied to 280,465 jobs. That's nearly 3 applications every second. Back then, I was still writing the autofill script between classes at Stanford. No funding. No team. Just a messy prototype and a belief that job searching shouldn't feel like a second job. I'd refresh the dashboard and celebrate every thousand. 100 autofills felt like a win. 1,000 felt surreal. Now this is our new normal. No launch hype. No ads. Just a 7-person team shipping tools that save job seekers millions of hours. It's easy to look at numbers like these and move on. But I see this chart and think of every person who's been stuck in the same loop I was in – manually applying to job after job, unsure if anything would work out. That's who we're building for.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗲 #10: Adi joined Simplify as our newest SWE Intern! 👇 Meet the cracked intern helping us launch some of our top features: 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: "What inspired you to apply for this role?" 𝗔𝗱𝗶𝘁𝘆𝗮: I've used Simplify to apply for internships before and really appreciated how intuitive it was. I knew I wanted to recreate that same empowering experience for others. 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: “What’s been your favorite part of working here so far? 𝗔𝗱𝗶𝘁𝘆𝗮: I love how quickly we’re able to ship things. It’s really satisfying to read user feedback and know something I built is actually helping someone get through the job search a little easier. 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: “What’s a fun fact people would never know about you?” 𝗔𝗱𝗶𝘁𝘆𝗮: My friend Andrew and I once ate 100 boneless wings at Buffalo Wild Wings together. 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: “What’s your best piece of advice for someone looking for a job?” 𝗔𝗱𝗶𝘁𝘆𝗮: LinkedIn will make you feel like everyone’s getting offers left and right – ignore it. Behind every success post is a spreadsheet full of rejections. 𝗣.𝗦. 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆? We’re opening up more internships soon! Comment “interested” and we’ll reach out to you if you’re a good fit :)

List of fall 2025 internships?? For the past few months, I've been running a script that scrapes fall internship postings as soon as they go live – across careers pages, ATS systems, and niche job boards. The result? A list of 200+ fall internships and co-ops across: - Software / Engineering - Business / Finance - Marketing / Sales These roles are actively hiring right now and new ones are opening every day. Instead of dumping everything in a spreadsheet this time, I built a page that shows you the latest jobs as soon as they open. If you're applying this cycle (or just want to see what's out there) I hope this saves you some time (and some sanity). Link in the comments!! No email, no login, no strings attached. Feel free to tag a friend who’s recruiting too!

I’ve helped 100+ job seekers brand their LinkedIn profiles and watched many of them land offers at places like Google, Meta, and Amazon. 👇 Here are 3 LinkedIn profile tips I believe everyone should be using: 1. Use an optimized headline. Your headline is a great place to add keywords and to sell your impact to a future employer. I recommend this format: 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 | 𝗗𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲 (𝗜𝗳 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲) | 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 / 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁. E.G. Social Media Manager @ Duolingo | Driving 100M impressions across social. 2. Get endorsed on skills. When a recruiter searches for a skill like "Python", the person with the most skill endorsements typically comes up first. In college, I asked for endorsements from my friends and ended up having multiple recruiters to reach out to me as a result. 3. Customize your LinkedIn URL to be shorter. This makes it more convenient for people to search your LinkedIn, especially if you include the link on a physical resume. For example, mine is "linkedin[dot]com/in/myan". You can edit this URL on the homepage of your profile. These small changes make a big difference, especially for recruiters skimming through hundreds of profiles. Highly recommend using them :) P.S. Not sure which keywords to add to your LinkedIn? This free tool finds the best ones to use from job descriptions: https://lnkd.in/gMF8t6BZ

In college, I applied to 150+ internships before landing 4 job offers. Here are three pieces of job-searching advice I wish I knew sooner: 1. Job searching starts with a #’s game. While being hyper-specific on applying to jobs has its place, I believe it’s important to start by sending out lots of applications. Mass-applying is where you’ll gather data. Once you find a role you’re deeply interested in, you can get more specific on landing it.  Pro Tip: I used Simplify to auto-fill my job applications :)  2. Host informational coffee chats, without the expectation of a referral. Ideally, you should be having coffee chats before ever needing a referral/recommendation. People can tell if you’re talking with them to seek out a referral – I believe it’s a much better strategy to focus on building genuine relationships before you need anything. 3.  Creating content is the easiest way to “network”. 1,000 views on a LinkedIn post = 1,000 people who’ve seen your personal brand. I’ve gotten multiple job offers and met tons of interesting people by posting on LinkedIn–I’d highly recommend posting on here! * P.S. I’ll be sharing my best job-search hacks over the next few weeks, follow me at Kevin for more :)

Marketing @ ServiceNow | Prev @ Simplify | Writing for the Biggest Creators in the World

1.5 years ago, I was trying to land an internship and started posting on LinkedIn. Here’s how a single post landed me a job offer with a YC-backed startup:  Earlier in college, I was actively job-searching and was sharing content about finding an internship. I would share personal updates along with job resources that I found helpful, one of which happened to be the job-autofill extension from Simplify. After sharing a few posts about the company, the founder reached out.  He said he liked my content and we kept in touch. Eventually, he asked me if I wanted to work for him… Now, I’m running the growth marketing for our company and have helped us scale from 500k to over 1 million users :) ✅ 1 year at Simplify complete. P.S. If you want to work for a startup, creating content about them is one of the best ways to get hired – highly recommend!
