SGI Partners with Horizon Goodwill Industries & Heavy Metal Playground to Support Training Program

The four-week training program provides 120 hours of OSHA compliant classroom education and hands-on training toward three certifications. Through the partnership, SGI supplies an Equipment Locker with steel-toe boots, high-visibility shirts, and winter coats in a range of sizes, as well as winter hats for participants. An additional component of the partnership is interview preparation through Horizon Industries' mock interviews held by companies in the construction and mining industries.

Donation From SGI Funds Benches at Monterey Pass Battlefield Park

SGI donated funds to the Friends of the Monterey Pass Battlefield, which were used to purchase six benches that have been placed along the battlefield park trail. The new benches are conveniently located along the walking trail so visitors can take periodic breaks from discovering The Fight at Monterey Pass (or Gap) - a Civil War battle that took place July 4 and 5, 1863, during the retreat from Gettysburg.
