  • We’ re honored to be recognized as a Sustainability Initiative of the Year by the 2025 Business Intelligence Group Sustainability Awards! This award recognizes the hard work of our team at Berth 55 at the Port of Los Angeles, which earlier this year became SSA Marine's first terminal to switch to 100% zero-emissions cargo-handling equipment. By transitioning Berth 55’s fleet of 44 small-capacity and heavy-duty forklifts from propane-fueled to battery-electric powered, we’re estimating that we will reduce our propane fuel consumption at the terminal by nearly 44,000 gallons each year and reduce annual tailpipe CO2 emissions by 264 metric tons. Projects such as this have contributed to SSA Marine exceeding our multi-year greenhouse gas emissions reduction target of 15% by the end of 2024 and we’re excited to continue to press forward in support of our new decarbonization goals of 35% reduction by 2030 and 50% reduction by 2035. #sustainability #decarbonization #zeroemissions #marineterminals

This year’s Sustainability Awards weren’t about feel-good pledges. They were about proof. From SSA Marine’s hybrid-electric terminals to ClimeCo making carbon strategy CFO-friendly, these companies turned ESG into a growth engine. Sustainability isn’t a checkbox anymore. It’s smart business. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eWYJwZfj #Sustainability #ESG #BIGAwards #GreenBusiness #BusinessIntelligenceGroup

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Port of Montreal ability to accommodate larger vessels, as demonstrated by the inaugural call of the MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company Daisy (6,000 TEUs), is a strategic asset for Eastern Canada’s supply chain and a catalyst for container terminal productivity.
