#TraPacLA had the recent pleasure of working with our friend's at CARRIER53´ to unload the Eckert Oldendorff (IMO 9676591), a versatile general cargo vessel. With a length of nearly 180 m, beam of ~30 m, and ~25,431 GT, her open hatch, timber-focused design and Ice Class 1C rating made this vessel both unique and technically demanding. Navigating the complex lashings wasn’t a small feat—but thanks to the precision and professionalism of our best‑in‑class longshore partners at the #ILWU, we completed the discharge safely and efficiently. Proud to stand with such a skilled stevedoring team. 👷⚓
Just wrapped up a smooth discharge of 461 x 40HC at Port of L.A. Our colleague Helge Wendt packed his hard hat, put a nice sticker on the rental and got to work - thanks for the nice picture! Also a big thank you to TraPac and Ernie (Ernstin) Kuo, his team and everyone involved on the ground who kept things moving safely and efficiently. #C53 #LALB #40HC #Container #ExtraLoader #Teamwork

We’re closing out our Then & Now photo series 📸 with a full-circle moment, one of the first staff photos from Los Angeles, side by side with where we are today. It started with one team in Los Angeles. One photo. One terminal. One vision. Forty years later, we’ve grown beyond what anyone could have imagined, expanding our footprint to Oakland and Austin, growing our team, and continuing to lead with innovation, service, and heart. This Then & Now moment isn’t just a comparison. It’s a testament to the people behind our progress. To every member of the TraPac family, past and present: thank you for being part of our journey. 🧡👏 #TraPac40 #ThenAndNow #TraPacFamily #40YearsStrong

Major Milestone Achieved! This week, Harbor Industrial successfully completed the loading, transport, and offload of TraPac’s “new” MES STS crane — a major accomplishment for the team. One of the most impressive sights was the crane’s relocation under the Vincent Thomas Bridge from ITS Long Beach Terminal. While there’s still work ahead, our team executed every phase of this complex operation safely and on an expedited schedule — a testament to exceptional project planning and engineering. Great work and thank you to the team and everyone involved for making it happen! TraPac

As part of our 40th anniversary celebration, we’ve been spotlighting the people who helped build the foundation of TraPac: our pillars, our family. And we’re closing the series with someone whose leadership has touched nearly every part of the terminal. Bill Schopp joined TraPac in 1989 and has played a central role in operations ever since. Over the past 35 years, he’s led nearly every aspect of the terminal, from dispatch, labor relations, and vessel planning to yard, gate, marine and rail operations, always with a sharp focus on performance and reliability. Today, as Senior Director of Maintenance & Repair, Bill oversees the systems and teams that keep our equipment running at the level our customers expect. His deep operational knowledge, paired with decades of hands-on experience, continues to drive improvements in efficiency, safety, and service across the terminal. Bill’s steady leadership has helped TraPac maintain its reputation as a technology-forward, cost-efficient terminal in the Los Angeles port complex. His impact is felt not just in the results but in the people and teams he’s helped grow along the way. Thank you, Bill, for your commitment to operational excellence and your role in helping TraPac reach 40 years. 🧡 #TraPac40 #PillarsOfTraPac #EmployeeSpotlight #ThenAndNow

Robert Nunez joined TraPac in 1992 with no background in stevedoring, just a solid willingness to learn. Over the years, he worked his way through dispatch, vessel planning, and labor coordination, eventually becoming Operations Manager on the dayside marine team. He spent most of his career on the night shift, where he helped build a tight-knit crew that felt more like family. He’s trained and mentored many who’ve moved up the chain, and after 32 years, he continues to bring the same leadership and pride in the work that he started with. Thank you, Robert, for the loyalty, consistency, and example you continue to set. 🧡 #TraPac40 #PillarsOfTraPac #EmployeeSpotlight #ThenAndNow

This week, we continue celebrating the people who’ve been part of TraPac since the very beginning, those who helped shape who we are today. Vickie Wilson joined TraPac in 1987 as the ninth employee hired, and she’s been with us for 37 years. In the early years, she helped with everything, from building out internal systems to physically moving furniture and equipment from an off-dock location to the newly built terminal. Later, she transitioned into Customer Service, where she worked closely with shipping lines, longshore labor, and truckers during a time of tremendous growth. Over the years, Vickie remained with the company through many changes, always showing up, pitching in, and staying connected no matter where things moved. Her warmth, loyalty, and memories have carried TraPac through every era. She’s looked out for so many of us and kept our history alive with stories only she can tell. We’re so lucky to have her at TraPac! 🧡 #TraPac40 #PillarsOfTraPac #EmployeeSpotlight #ThenAndNow

TraPac’s 40-year milestone wouldn’t be possible without the steady leadership of those who’ve been here through it all. Margaret Ragan joined TraPac in 1989, when our Import Department had just six employees. Now celebrating 35 years of service, she’s worked in multiple locations, helped launch new terminals, adapted through industry-wide changes, and supported countless teams, all with the same unwavering dedication she brought on day one. She played a key role during TraPac’s expansion in the early 2000s, when several departments relocated to Austin, Texas. Margaret made the move, supported the launch of our Jacksonville terminal, and spent more than 12 years helping build our Austin team, while commuting cross-state to see her family every month. Along the way, she’s seen just about everything from terminal milestones to USDA inspections. Margaret’s stories are filled with humor and heart, and her mentorship continues to inspire the teams around her. We’re proud to celebrate Margaret as one of the pillars of TraPac. Thank you for your decades of service and the legacy you continue to shape. 🧡 #TraPac40 #PillarsOfTraPac #EmployeeSpotlight #ThenAndNow
