We’re closing out our spotlight series with Elijah LaPierre, a Delivery Driver in South Adirondack, NY. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Elijah joined us while transitioning from Active Duty to the Marine Corps Reserve. Through our Heroes Hired Here program, Suburban Propane covered the cost of his Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, just one of several benefits offered to veterans and reservists looking to advance their careers. Elijah brings the same work ethic and dependability to his role that he showed in the military, qualities our team and customers rely on every day. From U.S. Army Tank Mechanic to Suburban Propane Delivery Driver: Meet David Cervantes from Tallahassee, FL. During his time in the service, David operated an M88 A1 recovery vehicle, one of the largest armored recovery vehicles in use by the United States Armed Forces and was responsible for maintaining and replacing engines. Today, he brings that same sense of duty and precision to his role delivering fuel to our customers. We’re proud to work alongside veterans like David and grateful for both his service to our country and the impact he continues to make with us.

As part of his transition, Josh took advantage of our Heroes Hired Here program, which supported his move through our military relocation allowance, a benefit designed to ease the shift into civilian life for veterans and their families.
