🚢 This visit to the Port of Miami changed the course of my career 15 years ago. I was part of the ✨Miami Fellows✨ program, and every six weeks they would immerse us in a different community issue area for two straight days, exposing us to leaders, context, and solutions so that one day we might better address the most pressing challenges facing our community. This visit sounded incredibly boring to me....but by the end of that two-day lab, I was drafting the business plan for my future social enterprise, Radical Partners on a napkin. That visit (and really that whole year) helped me see the interconnections between so many of our region's issues, and gave me clarity about the leadership qualities I wanted to embody most. 🥁....I share all of this because applications are open now for Miami Fellows class 12. 🥁 It's a transformational program...both for the participants and for the future of our community.
