It is always inspiring to see the impact our physicians have outside the operating room. Dr. Dieterichs and his family manage a nonprofit, Eels on Wheels, which specializes in training and taking individuals with disabilities scuba diving. The independence achieved, both in the water and in their personal lives, is immeasurable. Recently, they hosted a Discover Scuba event for participants. Remarkably, Dr. Dieterichs has been leading and managing this program for 30 years! At USAP, we’re proud to celebrate the passion our physicians bring not only to patient care, but also to making a difference in their communities. #USAP #StrongerTogether #Community #EelsOnWheels

Earlier this month, our North Texas corporate office welcomed 24 future leaders, ranging in age from 17 months to 17 years, for Bring Your Kids to Work Day. From learning about what we do at USAP and hearing from Tom Methvin and Dr. Scott Holliday, to face painting, crafts, and a taste of “office life,” the day was packed with fun and discovery. After all, it’s never too early to learn about the world of anesthesia! Judging by the laughter (and the fact they didn’t want to leave!), we think it’s safe to say this was a hit with our youngest guests. #USAP #Culture #Anesthesia

Both U.S. News & World Report and Becker's Healthcare recently released their list of top hospitals in the country. We congratulate the many hospitals recognized for their commitment to excellence in patient care and are proud to work with so many of these true leaders in healthcare. Hospitals today face many challenges and it is gratifying and encouraging to see so many facilities rising to meet those challenges for the benefit of their communities. Nicely done! USAP Chief Quality Officer Rick Dutton travelled to the Philippines to speak at the St. Luke’s Hospital Department of Anesthesiology Postgraduate Symposium on Challenging Airways Across the Spectrum, joining other invited faculty from Italy, Canada, Taiwan, and Japan. The Philippines is a rapidly modernizing nation, and the 200 anesthesiologists who attended the conference were eager to hear the latest on monitoring and reversal of neuromuscular blockade, enhanced recovery for robotic surgery patients, and the details of the ASA Guideline for Management of the Difficult Airway. Many attendees had questions about the organization of anesthesia groups in the United States and the benefits of private practice. We are proud to see our leaders sharing expertise and connecting with anesthesia professionals around the globe. #USAP #USAPAbroad #Anesthesia #GlobalMedicine #Healthcare #Philippines

Hear from our very own Dr. Matt Maloney as he shares how USAP is addressing the ongoing anesthesia workforce shortage and why investing in the future of our specialty is more important than ever. Through programs like our Future Leaders in Anesthesia, we're connecting with trainees early in their careers, supporting their clinical development, and helping shape the next generation of anesthesia professionals. By being intentional in our investments, whether through training, tools, or mentorship, we're strengthening the future of anesthesia and ensuring high-quality patient care continues for years to come. #USAP #Anesthesia #AnesthesiaLeadership #CRNA

We had an incredible time at the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) Annual Congress! One of the standout moments was the Party with a Purpose event at Luke’s 32 Bridge, where we were proud to be one of the main sponsors. This annual networking and charity event benefited Project C.U.R.E., and drew over 2,900 attendees. Our team connected with over 1,000 Future CRNAs from over 100 programs across the country. It was an amazing opportunity to meet, network, and support the next generation of anesthesia talent while contributing to a meaningful cause. #USAP #AANA2025 #Anesthesia #CRNA
